Not only that, we then consolidated our power and place in the world by fostering revolutions all over the world.
Didn't you learn anything in school? History is full of Authoritarian state success stories.

So cops are okay to act like children, but children should not act like children. That seems pretty solid and an accurate portrayal of how a lot of people think law enforcement should work.
No, of course not. But is an extreme response to revolt always a good thing, either?

Apparently, all she did to warrant being thrown to the ground and handcuffed was refusing to give up her phone to the teacher. Unbelievable!
Unbelievable, without knowing anything else about the story or the previous issues with the student. I'm guessing this wasn't her first run-in with the SRO, but I don't have any proof to back that up. What is believable is people thinking twice before spouting off to that teacher again.http://www.wltx.com/story/news/local/2015/10/27/student-who-videotaped-incident-speaks-out/74664592/

Little to do with speaking back to a teacher. Just listen to and respect authority and there's no issues.
Is not having your cell phone in school going to really hurt you?
How so?
Is the school says no cell phones, no cell phones. Same with no hats or no gums.
Why does the teacher make a big deal out of this? Because if a teacher allows any of this, they can get in trouble with the school.
So it's not the teachers fault that the student was written up. They were doing their job.
That's definitely the answer, I really long for the days when we had segregated bathrooms and water fountains.

So according to you then, the student who filmed the incident should also be written-up and possibly assaulted and handcuffed for using his phone?
Very, very different situations. But go ahead and get as radical as you can, that'll really prove your point.
What point is this girl trying to make by not turning over her phone, ignoring her teacher when asked to leave the class, ignoring her assistant principal when asked to leave the class, and ignoring her SRO when asked to leave the class?
no but a crazy power hungry maniac SRO apparently will.
If there was a video vindicating the cop, it would have been out first thing this morning.
Again, very radical.
Student that was filming was never "busted" for having their phone out and the student filming was never asked to leave the classroom.
Are students really going to get out their phones to record a teacher asking a student to leave class?
Probably not. That isn't uncommon.
Are students really going to get out their phones to record an assistant principal asking a student to leave class?
Probably not. That isn't uncommon.
Are the students going to get out their phones to record an SRO who is consistently being ignored by a student who has disrespected her teachers and principals?
Probably.

Probably.
So its not about rules or laws then; its about being caught and kissing *** when you are. Sounds fair to me.
