Never. Thus, we are doing what we've not done since 1938.When is the last time we’ve had such a capable OC?

Or the bowl game in San Antonio against Wash State.Obviously he didn't watch K State win the game of pick up the flag against ISU a few years ago...
Locked everything else down by gambling on defensive holding and defensive PI. They won because the officials were very reluctant to call either so they disrupted routes left and right with illegal contact. They dared Rocco to run and locked everything else down. Don’t blame them as he hasn’t shown anything close to what he did last night. Always knew he was athletic enough to run like we just saw. Future opponents will think twice about running the UCF game plan.
I hadn't realized this until I watched a replay of the first half today. He took a shot to the head diving for yards and was slow getting up. The very next play was the pick 6. I wonder if he was trying to figure out which of the three guys he saw out there was the actual receiver...Also I haven't seen if a reporter asked. But Rocco took a big hit on the play before his pick 6. Would be curious if Mouser saw that. Might have been better to go with a run play to let Rocco get a breath.
The “start of slide” rule drives me insane. It’s making the game more dangerous by incentivizing QBs to dive head first instead. Like any other play, just mark the ball where it is when the knee/butt/elbow hits the groundThink there were about 3 slides in the game where they spotted his slide about 3 yards short. Understand the start of the slide, but just horrible spots.
I think Rocco stopped sliding after the third one.
On the other hand, they also allowed the left side of our Oline to jump early on the game winning touchdown.Watching the replay, the refs screwed us out of a yard or two every time Becht ran the ball and slide. The mark should be where he starts his slide, they always marked it further back, costing us a yard or two.
Overall they were just a poor crew or had a horrible game, they allowed UCF to push and shove our WR's all night long and did not call it until the end. They allowed UCF to tackle well out of bounds and never called a late hit, even though many were 4 or 5 yards past the out of bounds line.
This is one of those where ISU needs to call the league and have them review the tape, these are not judgement calls for the most part, and they missed a lot of them.
I think Steve Loney was pretty damned good and he proved it at several schools and in the pros.Never. Thus, we are doing what we've not done since 1938.
Loved it when Loney called a reverse on the first play of the Iowa game many years ago. Loney said he knew the Hawkeye defense would be so fired up for the game that they'd over pursue and he was correct. JJ Moses took it all the way to the house.I think Steve Loney was pretty damned good and he proved it at several schools and in the pros.
He did go 13-3 at Dallas as the Senior Offensive Assistant in 2016 - and he certainly has a long history of coaching, mainly as an OL coach - but certainly helped the 'Clones in the McCarney era. But, we've not seen this kind of complimentary football happening ever in history thus far. It's not that Steve wasn't great - but Mouser has helped take this thing to a whole new level.I think Steve Loney was pretty damned good and he proved it at several schools and in the pros.
What do you mean? UCF scored on the next play since Iowa state never recovered it.Every championship team goes through a game like this against a "weaker" opponent when they play far from their A game and have to grind out a win and UCF has a lot of talent so this was always going to be a tougher game than it looked like on paper. Schedule gets tougher so this was a good game to toughen up the Cyclones for the stretch run.
And LOL at the UCF player dropping the ball before the goal line. Why do so many players college or pro do that and even chance it? Good for Iowa State, probably saved their season, but it's just brainless.
Hard to complain about the ISU players not jumping on it as non of them saw the USF player drop the ball before he got to the goal line. I was noticing yesterday that after a score, the defense never grabbed the ball, just left it on the ground. What do you mean? UCF scored on the next play since Iowa state never recovered it.
I could see him drop the ball early from Section K. So easy to pick up the ball.Hard to complain about the ISU players not jumping on it as non of them saw the USF player drop the ball before he got to the goal line. That is a rule that should be changed for basic stupidity for dropping the ball before you cross, you lose the ball. Never happen, but my God, you make a great play and then casually drop it before you cross the goal line. How about showing some class and act like you have done this before and just flip it to the ref.
Not so easy as you are running down the field and then behind him would give you a poor angle to see clearly. You can see a lot more in the stands than the field or sidelines generally. Plus a lot less emotion.I could see him drop the ball early from Section K. So easy to pick up the ball.
I think this was a prophecy by aliens in 1924.According to ancient alien theory...It must be aliens.
meh, everytime Jackson got a carry there was no blocking whatsoever. Not a back who can bull through the line. Not so much Jackson wasn't good as the line wasn't good on his carries.Doubt I'm correct on what? Jackson played last night. He wasn't good. It's pretty straightforward.
They have to do this. Otherwise, there will be more hits on the QB to stop them from moving forward during the progression. The “start of slide” rule drives me insane. Neal seems like a guy that probably could be a pretty good road grater guard, but had to play T. There’s something to be said for a guy that gets beat out and responds when his opportunity comes up.James Neal was playing LG between Travis and Hufford. I freaking LOVE IT. Rocco ran right behind him for the game winning score.
I rewatched that a couple of times. I s didn’t see any view that showed the refs signal. Did they signal touchdown or blow the whistle? If either of those thing happened I don’t blame anyone for not picking the ball up.Hard to complain about the ISU players not jumping on it as non of them saw the USF player drop the ball before he got to the goal line.
