Travis Justice - Morning Rush

I was trying to get at listening to Ross whinnying like a horse and Travis gasping for air as his intestines slip out of his herniated, bloated gut.

Every show on KXNO is unlistenable except for Miller and Condon.

Morning show: Should be called "Trainwreck of Incapability".

Murph and Andy: We're smarter than all of you.......combined.

Fanatics: We might be lazy, but we're the same lazy every day.

I knew what you meant. I don’t and wouldn’t listen to that and it would get old. But I can’t say I don’t, as a grown ass man, find comedic value in butts farts boobs etc

If you hitch your wagon to Marty or throw piss on another human being...

I'll tune into most of the shows to just have on background noise because I like talk radio more than music.

Travis doesnt make me mad but he makes that show unlistenable. He wants to be this big anti PC guy and not care who he offends, and then gets offended any time someone questions him. He's also creepy.

Travis is awful, he and Perrault ruined sports radio for me back when they teamed up in Omaha. Travis just trolled Husker fans (which is admirable) and Matt is just a clueless east coast hack that did everything possible to let you know he looks down at people from the midwest.

Fanatics are fine when they talk sports, but the extracurricular convos are pretty basic

Moderation may be the key with them then. I only listen to maybe an hour a week and I find it enjoyable. But I can see how it would get old if you listen every day.

1. Its a morning show. Not a "sports" show.
2. I mean how can the guy still bother people? You know what you are getting.
3. Its entertainment... understand that.
4. Dan Patrick does not start until 8, we need something before then.

I agree with you mostly here. Here's the problem:

1. It's on a sports station. People sort of expect some sports. They are wrong in this case, but that's kind of understandable.
2. This is on people a bit.
3. It's not entertaining, that's the problem.
4. I don't. I literally haven't listened to the show for years. There are podcasts all over the place, you don't need it I promise.

This thread is prove how effective it can be....LOL

I can have an opinion on Travis Justice without listening to his show. Sometimes getting attention for being an ******* doesn't make someone successful. It just makes them an *******. This isn't some great manipulation. It's an idiot that spews whatever comes to his head.

Listened to him and Ross back in the day because podcasts weren't really a thing yet, and I switched to pop music after a couple weeks because they were so bad.

I share a lot of the same feelings as you but broadly speaking, his shtick is to infuriate people enough to call in, listen, or talk about him. However dumb you or I think he is, there is a method to it and yes it is a manipulation. I doubt he believes much of what he actually says on air. The problem with it is the routine gets old really fast and people eventually turn the channel. I also agree with you that merely getting people to listen by having a bunch of crazy hot takes does not define success.

I’ll take Brittany Spears over Travis Justice any day.

I have tried and tried to give that show a chance but it is AWFUL. 1) It's not remotely funny even though they think it is. 2) You can tell them don't do much sports watching or show prep as most of their show is fluff that isn't informative or entertaining. 3) I don't learn anything from the show nor am I entertained, so what's the point. 4) The fact that the prime time sports radio station has to stretch to hire someone for a morning drive show that does the show from his basement in Omaha, Nebraska is baffling to me.

And this has nothing to do with anything Iowa State. The show is just plain bad.

What about smoking meat? Based on my Twitter feed on Saturdays, 80% of Hawkeye/Cyclone Twitter thinks we care about their seasoned meat.

I love smoking some delicious Iowa Pork™ on my Traeger™ while drinking some Cody Road™ bourbon before getting my hair cut at Franklin Barber Shop and getting work done thanks to the great folks at Gravitate Coworking.

Oh, and IDK about other folks but I really don't want to hear pouring and sipping sounds. . .

Still love the podcasts in general, though :p
