Imming from SBL would have overtaken Horne in a matter of time. The staff is really high on the class of LB’s coming in.

I think Twins is right. Keep in mind that ISU was not Young’s first choice. He was a Penn State commit before they, and most of the other blue bloods cooled on him due to some off field issues. Since that time, Young has been great on and off the field, and the blue bloods want him again.

If that was me I would say **** you to them

As long as coaches have the freedoms to leave programs like nothing, the athletes should too.

Coaches have to pay buyouts, well the school hiring them does. Do you start putting buyouts on players if you want it to be the same?

" and literally being able to pay players to attend a certain school is where it gets out of hand. "

Yes, that is where the NIL gets out of hand and schools are taking advantage of it. Do you have reading comprehension issues?

If/When CMC leave we need to hire a Billionaire, Maybe Elon Musk is interested in having a toy to play with. He can be the cash cow that buys players and operate a program like a CEO. Hire real coaches and life is good.

I would have no problem with schools having to reimburse other schools for the cost of the education prior to then. If you want to call them "student" athletes, you need to focus on the education piece.

Yep, I'm sure it's 100% the fault of NIL and not the ease with which someone can transfer and be eligible.

Some of you have lost your minds.
Agreed. Students transfer for many different reasons. For all we know he simply may want to play closer to home.
But a lot of people like to jump to conclusions

This transfer most likely isn't about NIL money. While the texas O-line deal is a big splash its a major outlier for a position group or for every member on a team. Most athletes from teams that have a wide ranging NIL program are receiving around 5-10K per year. Sure he could be jumping for that but to the best of my knowledge PSU (which is where people assume he is going) doesn't have something like that in place yet. Most likely the kid just always wanted to play and PSU and when he played great saw an opportunity to jump as ****** as that is.

Just get him a great coaching staff, that he has to pay for. Tell him he has no say in what the OC, DC, and ST’s coaches do, he just gets to sign the checks and hold up the trophies.

Yea, if you knew me personally you would understand and not be surprised

Probably not, but I've seen people in situations where they crawl back to a place with much less to gain than a kid who may have no other opportunity to cash in.

This is going to be an ugly era for college football. Just kill the student athlete angle altogether and break off the top 30 into an NFL farm team league.

We're already there.
