The NIL and transfer portals have screwed college football IMO. Iowa State is not likely to benefit compared to most Power 5 schools it appears.
Freyler is starting next year, no doubt. Chambers looked awesome last year. There may be some truth in this. If I remember right Freyler started taking some of Isheem’s series the last half of the season.
I think Twins is right. Keep in mind that ISU was not Young’s first choice. He was a Penn State commit before they, and most of the other blue bloods cooled on him due to some off field issues. Since that time, Young has been great on and off the field, and the blue bloods want him again.
Friend that is at SBL talked to Campbell during the recruiting process.Imming from SBL would have overtaken Horne in a matter of time. The staff is really high on the class of LB’s coming in.
If that was me I would say **** you to them
Craig McDonald tooFreyler is starting next year, no doubt. Chambers looked awesome last year.
Bunch of nothingWhat about the other departures?
Horne was average, King probably couldn't beat out McDonald, Freyler or Chambers. Everyone else was buried on the depth chart. What about the other departures?
As long as coaches have the freedoms to leave programs like nothing, the athletes should too.
Even for $50,000? Maybe quite a bit more than that?
" and literally being able to pay players to attend a certain school is where it gets out of hand. "I didn’t say that anywhere.

I would have no problem with schools having to reimburse other schools for the cost of the education prior to then. If you want to call them "student" athletes, you need to focus on the education piece.Coaches have to pay buyouts, well the school hiring them does. Do you start putting buyouts on players if you want it to be the same?
Agreed. Students transfer for many different reasons. For all we know he simply may want to play closer to home.Yep, I'm sure it's 100% the fault of NIL and not the ease with which someone can transfer and be eligible.
Some of you have lost your minds.
If/When CMC leave we need to hire a Billionaire, Maybe Elon Musk is interested in having a toy to play with. He can be the cash cow that buys players and operate a program like a CEO. Hire real coaches and life is good.
Yea, if you knew me personally you would understand and not be surprised
