Hey - the sport will be ruined in 5 years at this pace but at least the student-athletes had mobility and ability to earn a wage for that time.
Yes, we will get larger programs scraps of players kicked off or ones that didn’t pan out.
This is why I assume we will not get the OU TE. He will get $$$ elsewhere. Uphill battle for us.

Yeah, they can. I don't see boosters putting up much money for players that never see the field long term. I could be wrong though.
Are Alabama boosters going to pay good money for 30-40 walk-ons that never play? There is still a limited number of players that will see the field. Maybe they will, but I have my doubts.
You can go to Texas and make $50K a year, ya that's just great for all but the top 15 schools.

I liked the idea of the NIL in terms of getting NCAA football games back, as well as them being able to do things like sell their autograph. But there being no type of rules or regulations, and literally being able to pay players to attend a certain school is where it gets out of hand.
NIL should be for shirt and poster sales only. Also players should only be immediately eligible if their coach leaves or is let go. Plus if they follow their coach they must sit a year. If these rules don’t change quickly college sports will be ruined quickly

If it is NIL related, which it may not be now, but it will be in the future, the talent flow will be unilateral. Some schools will be able to offer more in NIL than Iowa St's annual scholarship.
It may not be completely but it is highly coincidental to say the least. Without a coaching change have you seen this many at ISU? I can't remember? Is it not also a bit odd these non 5 star players don't want to be part of a "5 star culture" anymore?

Yes, they will. Easily.
There are boosters funding millions in salaries and facilities. Buying a better roster is way cheaper and better.
29 states have laws in place that basically prescribe a hands-off NIL free-for-all. Good luck getting those laws changed.
