Aric Horne is in the portal, too. With this sudden wave of defensive decommits, is anyone else worried that Heacock answered a phone call from South Bend?

Are they bailing based on some unknown pending news? News they know, but we do not yet?

There are 130 teams in D1 and there will be well over 2000 kids in the portal. I'm sure it will be fluid from year to year but I think there might be a lot of kids disappointed when it doesn't work out the way that they hoped this year. This has nothing to do with NIL and everything to do with being able to transfer without sitting for a year. Every 3rd stringer on every D1 team thinks they'll play in the NFL. This is a reflection of that.

Non blue blood schools are doomed in the current NIL. Theirs no regulation and something needs to happen. ISU and 90% of schools become farm systems for the big boys. They find a player they like, and legally pay them with some bs NIL deal
They still have scholarship limits and will lose transfers themselves that non-blue bloods can take advantage of.
