Everyone here is talking about him as the OC, but what I remember most is that he was a nationally-recognized, awarded, offensive line coach. That's what makes me happiest, if his return is indeed happening.

My thoughts exactly. The OC is all well and good but getting him back as an OL coach is huge, especially with those Fr we have coming off redshirt.

But on the other hand, there will be more posts looking for someone to blame.

Someone or Something!

Plenty of opportunity to spread blame with threads like: "Time for New Turf", "Ack, Uniforms", "Stop Sweet Caroline", "OL", "Purdy" , "11:00 Kickoff ", "7:00 Kickoff ", "Kicking!", "Damn Illegal Motion", "Why is [insert name] Playing", Why isn't [insert name] Playing", "TARGETING", "Fans Should Be In Their Seats!", "Our Concessions Suck!" and "Question on Sideline Demeanor".

Isn't Coach Gordon coaching in the AAF this spring?

I know some people thought that hinted at him leaving. Could effect spring ball and recruiting, but I'd assume he can do both.
You're thinking of Hofher, the QB coach prior to Gordon that was an analyst this past season

The fact that anyone on this board could suggest that this isn't fantastic news is ludicrous. Not only will the OL and offense take a step forward under Tom's reign again, but it also frees Campbell up a bit for other areas on both sides of the ball.

Veidt same as he was
Honestly, I think Golesh just slides into whatever spot is needed. Isn't 99% of his value as a recruiter? Maybe I'm just commenting on open secrets here that everybody know, but aren't most "position" assistants that way?

Not really. Maybe RB coach but others need to be teachers as well.

You forgot "Why don't we have a plan for playing elsewhere if bad weather is forecast"

So, was cancelling the Spring game one of his negotiating demands? Coincidental?

Wow, that's surprising. Colts played some good ball this year.

They did. They're shuffling their staff around a bit. The o-line coach got fired a couple days ago. I think that what might be happening there is that Reich got hired so late in the process last year (almost the second week of February) that he had to scramble to fill out his staff. Deguglielmo (the fired o-line coach) was a holdover from the botched Josh McDaniels deal.

Maybe Manning was added in Indy just because they needed bodies and now with a full offseason Reich actually has time to get his guys in place. Or maybe Manning just decided the NFL game wasn't for him. Who knows?
