Tinsley

Nice picture with the article. Brings back a flood of bad memories. **** Hampton.

I hope he hasn't blown the millions he has made in the NBA. 40,000,000 is a pretty good NBA career.

i know he made a lot of mistakes, but dude was sure fun to watch play when he was here at ISU. Some of the things he did made me think I was watching a Harlem Globtrotters game.

I would absolutely love, LOVE for Iowa Energy to pick him up. I love seeing Stinson play when I go watch the Energy play.

In reply to ZJohnson... The whole team was playing like **** and on fumes for 3 weeks prior to that game... If Jamaal alone blew that game then he is somehow a genius and magican to make his entire team miss shots and rebound for several consecutive games. And the missed layup? It missed by a millimeter. Again, must be a magician...

Not saying I believe any of this stuff. But I'm sure we were at least ten point favorites in that game, so by the time he shot the lay up, whether he made it or not would have been inconsequential, Hampton would have already covered.

Someone else would need to look up the specifics, but in the Missouri game in Columbia there were some very suspicious free throw misses by tinsley to barely not cover. Something like 8 of 10 down the stretch.

The tools to beat the great shot blocker Tarvis Williams and Hampton were on that team, but it spent all season in Larry's doghouse. Tyrae Pearson was put in for about 2 minutes in the second half after Paul Shirley was through wetting himself, dumped in 6 points on Tarvis Williams, putting us back in the lead, and was promptly sent to the bench. When Larry had to play him the following year, he was a 20/10 guy. I realize you can hate someone, but he could have gotten us into the second round at least.

Larry obviously didn't see it that way or he would have played him more.

This is correct. The concept of him throwing the game is stupid. He could have left ISU the year earlier to be a first round nba draft pick. Also, he only hurt his draft position with that game and the end of year collapse.

Tinsley carried that team way above where they should have been. They collapsed back to earth their last three games. The tank was empty.

The guy was an amazing player for ISU.

I do remember switching to I think ESPN and on the bottom line right after the loss it was saying something about a investigation into the ISU - Hampton game in regards to point-shaving...Nothing ever came from it, but I know I saw it....

That team was not a good team anymore by the time we got to the NCAAs. Had played like **** for 2-3 weeks prior to that. Lucky we were able to hold on and with the B12.

I've also heard something similar, who knows if it is true but the rumor is definitely out there.
