Absolutely crazy. It came together so authentically as they started the documentary just looking at these cat breeders and **** completely hit the fan while they were filming. That makes for pretty compelling stuff.
A few thoughts (SPOILERS INCLUDED):
A) Carole 100% killed her husband. Surely I wasn't the only one that caught her suggesting if you really want to get a tiger to attack someone you use something like sardine oil. Oddly specific...
Also, I can't figure out why what she does is any better than what Joe does. Does it just boil down to the breeding and using cubs for pictures?
B) Joe is undoubtedly a horrible person, but I think he got steamrolled by the legal system. I think he was essentially set up. As far as I could tell there was no evidence of him agreeing to have her killed other than the word of the convicted, meth-addicted, barely competent guy who worked for Joe's partner that was admittedly trying to run him out of the business, right? I'm actually kind of inclined to believe the money changed hands just so he'd go away.
I think the documentary did a nice job pointing out the sheer ridiculousness of him somehow being the only one who wound up in trouble in all this.
C) The best line in the whole show was calling the fat guy "an oversized Chuckie doll". Once you see it, you can't unsee it.
