So let me get this straight.. You're mad that a team picked in the preseason to get 6th and be a bubble team, ended up finishing 5th in the conference, won the Big 12 tournament title, and then got a 6 seed in the NCAA Tournament.. We did all of that with underclassmen, two transfers, and one player that was on the team for 4 years..

We finished behind Tech, who went to the National Title, K-State, who was a final 4 contender before they lost Wade, KU who's always great, and Baylor, the current #1 team in the nation this year who was very solid last year.. If you're upset about that.. so be it.
Who said I was mad or upset? I said I thought last year was disappointing with the amount of talent we had on the team, except for winning the big 12 tourney. My opinion.

We beat Kansas State by double digits in Manhattan with Wade playing 30 minutes, so we probably would have still won that game.

We get lectured on here to be nice to everyone and all of that ********, but then there are people like you that take joy in Iowa State losing.

If you really wanted Iowa State to succeed, but felt like the only way for that to happen would be for Prohm to get fired, you'd disengage completely. You'd let apathy set in and hope it set in for everyone else. You'd stop going to games. You'd stop buying tickets.

But you don't want Iowa State to succeed. If Steve Prohm won tonight, you'd be pissed.
I’m sorry, but that’s ridiculous. None of us WANTS our team to lose. But it is getting to the point where we expect our team to lose.

Yes, getting discouraged at our coach because he is constantly losing regularly and getting embarrassed with his players shows how much I hate Iowa State. You and Hawkeye fans out East are definitely hoping Prohm sticks around in Ames. Most here are smart enough to understand he isn’t going to magically change.
If Prohm sticks around Ames, that means he's done a good job. Jamie is going to make the right decision. The right decision this year and next is to give Prohm another year. If Prohm doesn't step up to the task, I'll have no problem with a change happening.

I'm not against firing Prohm. I've actually been pretty up front and honest when saying he's got to do a better job and going every other year to the tournament isn't going to cut it. But hoping we do bad next year so he leaves doesn't seem logical. I hope we get better because that means Prohm is doing a good job and the team I root for is good.

There is more than one kind of fandom. So tired of the mouth breathing vocal minority morons on here saying there's only one way for a fan base to support a team.

Prohm was a bad coach with good players and he's a bad coach with average/below average players. I do not understand why that isn't abundantly obvious to some of you yet. That is the gulf between the Prohm apologists and Prohm critics. Critics understand that THIS IS BAD BASKETBALL AND HAS BEEN SINCE FRED'S GUYS LEFT.

Good grief. Nobody hopes we do bad next year. People just want to see us win again. It’s not hard to figure out.

That's fair. And I think our team was certainly talented last year, however for it being their first time playing together, I'm not surprised they dropped some games they shouldn't have. They also won some games they shouldn't have as well.

There were times with Hoiberg I thought we we should've done better than we ended up doing, however most of his teams were playing their first season with each other as well. It wasn't until he got guys within the program for a couple years before things started taking off.

Lets just see how next year looks. If it looks bad, a change is likely to be made and probably warranted. If things look good and we look different, maybe see how it plays out.

Those were 3 good days of basketball. Where’d they go the following week, or the whole month of February other than @KSU? Such an inconsistent year with a lot of talent. Year could have been so much better.
23 wins is more than "3 good days" of basketball. It's okay to say we had a good year. Your face isn't going to melt. And I imagine had Solo not been injured the entire year...we might have won a couple more games, who knows.

Also, imagine if we had a coach who was good at coaching down the stretch in close games. Would’ve added 6 more wins to the season.

We should zoom past 3,000 posts after tonight.

Over/under on total at the end of the season?

Considering there hasn't been much improvement so far this season, the next 6ish weeks aren't shaping up to be much better.

I can't think of a gas can as big as Florida A&M to put on the fire for the rest of the season. Maybe if we lose to K-State in Hilton?
