sweet corn pickups on every corner

I get nervous when there's corn in the grocery store down here in April. Where did this corn come from? And it's not very good either.

And huge Whitetails

This is a true fact. The knowledgeable hunters down here, upon finding out that I'm from Iowa, have the same response: "There's some big deer up there".

Breaded pork tenderloins

Can't find those anywhere around here that are what a pork tenderloin should be.

Not realizing the difference between the right lane (regular lane) and left lane (passing lane) on the highway.

I once thought that Iowa was home to the only true pork tenderloin. Then I met my wife, whose family was from Indiana, and she swore that Indiana was the only place to get a real tenderloin. Long story short, If you ever find yourself in Terra Haute, IN, you can find a good ole Iowa pork tenderloin. I've also learned that they are awfully easy to make at home.

That said, it is the people that make Iowa great.
And the schools, it is amazing how many adults dont have a grasp on some of the most elementary concepts.
