*****The Super, Mega, Huge Big 12 Expansion Thread*****

Anyone want to start a thread that only allows tweets, press releases, or actual news to be reported? No opinion or conjecture. No offense to you guys, but I don't want to spend the time wading through all your comments looking for something that actually could be official. Oh and if said thread does get created, mods watch like a hawk?

You can have any two of those three, but not all. Kind of like being able to manufacture something high-quality, on-time, and inexpensively.

Here you go:

Running Realignment Blog: Days go by... | Cyclone Fanatic

I don't really care, I am just tired of coming to this thread and hearing for the 15th time how the Big east is a great idea, or This is how I think it will all go down. Looks like I will have to put my hip waders back on.

The only good thing to come out of all of this is the @DanBeebe Fake Dan Beebe tweets. Seriously, if you aren't following him you are truly missing out on some great comedy.

CW has the running realignment blog, but he pretty much relies on real sources, not tweets from unnamed insiders. These tweets are just the opinions of media folks being presented as real information anyways, so I wouldn't get too worked up about it.

In other words, as many as four teams would be left to fend for themselves without the sort of jumbo TV money and ready access to big-money BCS bowl games that confer prestige and help schools land the best recruits.

The CBS story the other day referenced that government intervention was all but assured if teams are left behind. Would Baylor, ISU, Louisville, BYU, Cincy, South Florida, and TCU have enough clout to force the hand of more college expansion to include these teams?

Perfect example of why Chip basically knows nothing. Just like the rest of us. With all of those predictions, he is guaranteed to have one of them be correct. He'll then write another self-serving article at Orangebloods telling everyone how connected he is and how much he knows.

He already has. See on the list where he mentions the ACC. Yep, "I was the first source to say the ACC would move". He had a tweet pretty close to that. Granted the ACC didn't touch anyone on his list but those are only details.

Hence my use of "another". He's got to do something to get people to pay for his stuff, right?

That is a list of every prediction he's made in the past ~month.

You (as well as other Aggies who hate Chip) are unable to determine the difference between "predictions" and "reporting what he is hearing from his sources". The vast majority of that list (which you likely cut and pasted from an Aggy board) is based on what his sources have told him, not his personal predictions. Big difference.

I'm pretty sure one big part of journalism is deciding when a source is a credible source...

I would not want to be in JP's shoes. Some predict we could be left in the cold. The best thing is the Big 12 stays together (TU and TT stay) and add. The Big12/BigEast merger. Things are in the works and as options play out and we sit and wait for something else that might not happen. I not sure if we should take the merger and be happy to not be left in the cold or sit and wait for everybody else to decide our future.

1. I'm not an Aggie.

2. Chip Brown is still a *******.

This.

To me the remaining 5 need to sit down together and decide what we want to do. If the Texas thing to Pac 12 could take a month, it could be over in a month.
