I'm just glad I'm getting near the end of my working career and have money saved up to move to a off grid farm or something.

Logan's Run. I'll give you half credit. That’s dr who or Logan’s run but don’t know which
Well the good news is if we're all ****** then we're kinda all not ****** too, see you guys at the bread line! They're already fully automating car production. Once they have AGI it will just start automating everything. You might be right that we're years out but that just means we crash. This is an existential crisis. You can poo poo my opinion and that's fine but I don't think people really realize how had things are if AI doesn't work out.
It could also be argued that it will provide a tool to make radiologists, cardiologists, scribe, psychologists, psychiatrists more accurate and faster and maybe replace them with something more accurate down the road. Wouldn't that be good for you if you are the patient???This is such a stupid cope out argument “those jobs don’t even exist yet” but trust me brah they totally will! Don’t know what they could possibly be but trust me!
Yeah for most white collar work you won’t need humans. If your not angry about what’s coming you just haven’t been paying attention or your too old to be effected by it.
In just the medical field alone you will lose diagnostic radiologists, most cardiologists, scribes, just about all billing and admin (so not all horrible) psychologists, psychiatrists, basically anyone that isn’t touching a patient or doing something physical can and will be replaced.
This is part of the concern is when people are slowly ******, like what we see happening with slow and steady layoffs there isn’t the rush to put guardrails in place, UBI, or anything protective. If everyone was screwed in rapid procession something would have to happenWell the good news is if we're all ****** then we're kinda all not ****** too, see you guys at the bread line!
no ideaI picture him like this.

Can anyone place him?
100% some things will be better. Charting will be so much faster which could mean more time with patients. Radiologist reads could happen borderline instantly meaning patients move through the system faster. It could also be argued that it will provide a tool to make radiologists, cardiologists, scribe, psychologists, psychiatrists more accurate and faster and maybe replace them with something more accurate down the road. Wouldn't that be good for you if you are the patient???
I get it, this is hitting close to you for some reason. Yes its going to change things, but maybe some of the changes will be for the better too.
**** me fast, baby. This is part of the concern is when people are slowly ******, like what we see happening with slow and steady layoffs there isn’t the rush to put guardrails in place, UBI, or anything protective. If everyone was screwed in rapid procession something would have to happen
I'm a carpenter. All you white collar spoiled brats are ******. I'm good for now until we build infrastructure that our new AI over lords can take over. If you're nice to me maybe I'll throw you a few scraps. I can't start issuing bonds if you want to start buying.Well the good news is if we're all ****** then we're kinda all not ****** too, see you guys at the bread line!
Dude they 3d print houses now, you’re done.I'm a carpenter. All you white collar spoiled brats are ******. I'm good for now until we build infrastructure that our new AI over lords can take over. Pirate.
Nah, those are just starting. I've got time.Dude they 3d print houses now, you’re done.
I use it for stuff that would be tedious to look up myself. Today I used it to find out a rough opening for a door with a specialized hinge. It was perfect. It's also really good at translating language.I use GPT every day to speed up data structuring and sometimes recipes
Depends on the length of time. Robots' limitation up until now have been their need for "programming". AI, as it advances, will "program" them on the spot. As dexterity increases, they will have the capability to get everywhere we can, handle all the tools we can, see all the issues that we can and more quickly and accurately manipulate whatever situation is at hand faster than we can.Dude they 3d print houses now, you’re done.
I once tried to find a TV stand with it, but the size didn't fitI use it for stuff that would be tedious to look up myself. Today I used it to find out a rough opening for a door with a specialized hinge. It was perfect. It's also really good at translating language.
Change a few words here and there and it is a prediction for all work. Medicine is no different than anything that requires human "thought". Human movement follows close behind.100% some things will be better. Charting will be so much faster which could mean more time with patients. Radiologist reads could happen borderline instantly meaning patients move through the system faster.
The problem is these changes by and large won’t be assistive, they will be replacing people. That’s the major issue. I won’t deny that AI can and will be capable of doing amazing things but when you don’t have a job do you really care how much time you are saving at the hospital when you don’t have insurance to pay for the bills or for the roof over your head?
We already have the di vinci so I totally agreeChange a few words here and there and it is a prediction for all work. Medicine is no different than anything that requires human "thought". Human movement follows close behind.
