Correct me if I am wrong, but don't we have one of the best offensive red zone success rates in the country this year?
I think we are also still one of the least penalized teams in the country. The OU defensive line was jumping all over the place before the snap yesterday.
We probably are but a bunch of meaningless scores from the ULM game dragging up the average didn't do us much good last night. Breece Hall didn't touch the ball enough and we got too cute in the redzone. I don't think that's really a controversial take.
And so what? It was a hostile environment. It's opponents job to get us out of sorts and our job to maintain discipline. Much like the Alamo bowl, we didn't. Again, your season stats don't make any difference if you're going to deviate away from them to the extreme we did last night.
The point of my post was to say that we have plenty to worry about ourselves before we start saying we'll win as long as we don't get jobbed by the refs.
