Also, the last couple plays are a little blurry, but didn't the ref initially spot the ball at the 3 yard line, a full 2 yards short of where KSU was down on that 3rd to last play. Just weird how they **** their pants as a crew the last few minutes.

I think he thought they had scored and was placing it for a point after try. Clueless.
We get that you love Snyder and are buddies with him and such, happy for you. But you don't hang with a slimeball like fry for that long and end up with douchey things yourself. Like his handshake after the game. That was classic douchey.
Or, you know, if the refs did their jobs and didn’t pick up the flag on a clear pass interference, we would have won the game as well.
Cute how you omitted that.
What happened during the handshake? I was there so didn't get the tv advantage. All I saw was Campbell being restrained by 2 cops to keep him from going after the corrupt ref. I would have loved to see him lay into that official but that' not why we lost.
How about some better playcalling and game management at the end from this coachig staff? Or maybe don' play off so far on their receivers and go into prevent? I've seen Kstates receivers numerous times in person, and they them beating us deep was the last thing Campbell should have been worried about.
Lol, you mean the two officers that travel with the team? Those officers always surround the coach right away. If you don't know this, you probably haven't ever watched us in person or TV, outside of Kstate games. See the thread about Snyder saying he was cheering for us and we deserved to win. Definite Fry style douchey move.
There's a now-locked thread inviting someone to put together a video of the calls in question. As it turns out, I recorded the game in HD, and I have both the tools and the ability to do that. Is that something that anyone here would care to watch? Will it do any good? I'm having an internal debate before I spend a few hours doing it. I don't want to waste my time, and I'm not sure if I want to re-watch the game either to find all the penalties. If anyone wants a video put together, what would you want to see? All of the penalties called in the game, plus a few no-calls and the picked up flags?
Incompetents implies that the refs should mess up on both sides of the ball. Didn't see very much of that in this game.
My question is this on the picked up flags...don't we have instant replay to determine these things?
Why were refs standing on the field making these decisions based of memory when there are officials with the benefit of High Def, multiple angle, replay?
I took a day to really think this over. My first thought was this was fixed, much like most of you. I guess I don't really know what interest the Big 12 has in KSU winning that game. Similar records, similar fan bases, similar locales. I don't know. I guess the more I think about it the less I think there was some push from the Big 12 to decide the outcome.
That said, I still can't make sense of any of it. It was as bizarrely officiated of game as I can think of. The hold that wasn't on Garcia. Missing them being off sides on multiple big plays. Allowing their offensively linemen to be "caused to jump offside" a good two seconds after out guy entered then exited the neutral zone. I can recall two plays as well where KSU receivers were blatantly blocking before the ball was thrown.
Missed calls happen, but then there are the picked up flags. Each one took on the same sequence of events-- referee in position throws a flag, head referee runs over and changes the call. It's befuddling. I would love to have known where he was positioned on each of these, but especially the PI. There just no chance he could have been in an position to see it better than the one who threw the flag, who was in close enough position that he was on the television picture at the time. It's just defies logic. Again, I don't know what the deal was, but it was something. Maybe the whole ordeal with the KSU assistant shook him. Maybe there was some outside influence. I don't know. But I've yet to hear any other logical interpretation, which leads me to my next point-- make them accountable. Make them have to describe what happened. Why are they above having to meet with the media and explain their thought process? Why are they protected like this? This is a multi-million dollar industry. Coaches jobs hang on a win or loss here and there. Athletic directors jobs hinge on it as well. Fans donate thousands of dollars and spend their money and time to support their teams. All that on the line, and one guy can take it away and not be questioned about his choices.
Ugh. I thought I'd have cooled down by now, but this one is absurd and without the ref telling his side of the story it leaves a void that can't quite be answered.
It did seem that way. I can't think of one time that ever worked for ISU fans. From my vantage point in my living room, it appeared that their fans booo'd their way out of all three of the calls. Good for them for making a group of professionals, who are paid to be impartial, wet their pants on national tv.
