I watched Clemson - South Carolina last night

There was a deep pass and, what, in my opinion, looked like a close pass interference, and three officials threw their flags.

What happened to Lazard last night was illegal in all 50 states, football related or not. The fact only one flag was thrown, and then picked up, is ridiculous.

Not only did they pick up 3 flags that were helpful to ISU, but they did it consecutively in crunch time! Complete and utter ******** to go along with our coaching staff losing their god damn minds with 2:11 left.

The school administration has got to demand an investigation. Was it the same official who overruled those penalties? When have you see obvious pass interference overruled by another official? Bring in the FBI if need to check bank accounts.


Someone or maybe more than one on that officiating crew had money on KSU to beat the spread. That wasn't simply poor officiating. That was a fixed game.

So what are we going to about that? Oh yeah, nothing.

I definitely think the picked up flag on ISU's last drive should've been a PI. However, you have to be beyond delusional to think that the OPI was a bad call. That was 100% the correct call.

Not coming here to talk smack at all, but the no call on ISU's last drive would've been irrelevant if ISU had run the ball on 2nd down. I know that decision has been discussed extensively on here but I think ISU without a doubt wins the game if they run the ball there.

The OPI call is fair game because you can't set picks, I get that (ironically, if he just trucks the DB in motion through "incidental contact", that's not a penalty). It is what it is on that play, and IIRC we turned around and converted on 3rd and long after that anyway. Response to adversity was good.

I can't be mad about the 2nd down call. That's called "playing to win", being aggressive. I get that. Moreover, their response on 3rd down was, again, perfectly executed down to the laundry on the ground...which was subsequently picked up. That hurt like a mother-. How many flags were picked up in that game, 4? That's absolutely asinine. The hit on sliding QB one I was even okay with (because if ISU would've gotten hit with that in the same situation, I would've been outraged). The pulled DPI is insane to me. Seeing it live, seeing any and all replays angles, that was DPI all the way. There was very, very little debate to be had (or so I thought).

We get that you love Snyder and are buddies with him and such, happy for you. But you don't hang with a slimeball like fry for that long and end up with douchey things yourself. Like his handshake after the game. That was classic douchey.

The pass that resulted in the picked up PI was the right call. Got a great matchup that could pretty much only be stopped by interference which is what happened. Game would've essentially been over. Same goes for the Kempt slide and picked up late hit penalty. Every coaching staff and team has bad calls and missed execution in every game. Bottom line is the team won this game twice. Both of those calls end the game barring something miraculous. I don't see any other team forced to win a game three or four times to earn the win. What can't be disputed is with even mediocre officiating ISU wins this game. But yes our coaches and players have to thoroughly out coach and outplay the other team to eek out a win.

Wasn't ISU a +2? That's what I could find online today. So if ISU was a 2 point dog then what is the incentive to hold the score down for the Clones?

Still trying to get an answer on this. I couldn't tell from my seat. Was the OPI I that they picked up on Kstate on their first TD drive, behind the line of scrimmage? Or why was it picked up?

There's a now-locked thread inviting someone to put together a video of the calls in question. As it turns out, I recorded the game in HD, and I have both the tools and the ability to do that. Is that something that anyone here would care to watch? Will it do any good? I'm having an internal debate before I spend a few hours doing it. I don't want to waste my time, and I'm not sure if I want to re-watch the game either to find all the penalties. If anyone wants a video put together, what would you want to see? All of the penalties called in the game, plus a few no-calls and the picked up flags?

+ He didn't practice all week after injuring his knee in the Okie St game.

+ He was 5-9 for 28-yds in first 3Q's; he was 10-12 and 124-yds in the 4th.

when we had 8-guys drop in the secondary.

+ They drove 87 yards in less than 2-minutes to win; kinda like Stanley going 85-yrds on us (3 times),

+ KSU didn't play 3 guys in the Secondary due to injury.

+ They only had 53-yards and 2-first downs in the first half, but lead 7-6 because our Red Zone O couldn’t stick it in.

The obvious PI on Lazard cost us another set of downs, but what happened to our D in the 4th Q??

I think our D tired after a hard-fought physical game, and a long drive by KSU. I think that is part of the reason we were throwing on that Lazard 3rd down and the long 3rd down before that -- ISU wanted to win that game with our offense and we did.
