We've seen in past years with a bunch of future pros that it's hard to get to the 2nd weekend. This squad gave us an exciting 2 games last weekend. Perhaps best of all, 5 days to savor the accomplishment and look ahead to what many of us felt was at least a winnable game in the sweet 16.

Great highs this year, frustrating lows, but most importantly the blue print has been drawn up and we have an idea on what to expect in the future from TJ and the team.

Yes. Was able to watch a bit of Eli King's State Semifinal last night. The kid is a baller - the best player on the court by a long stretch. Was scoring, assisting and stealing the ball. Future looks bright.

We need more offensive weapons, but this team established that they will win with defense and effort. I hope they keep that moving forward.

This is a great point. I hope that as the offensive talent and overall talent increases we don't lose our focus on defense and scrappiness. I loved the junkyard dog mentality of this team.

I predicted 9 wins pre season. Great turnaround by TJ and Staff. More good years ahead. Portal time!

They seemed to really have scouted us well in just 5 days. Credit to their coach who has been around since the days of Wooden, and their players. They were getting good looks all night and had our defense over extended and exposed at times. Complicated by a cold shooting night, it just wasn't in the cards.

It absolutely doesn't take away from what this team accomplished this season. Fantastic job by TJ and his collection of misfit toys. The future, while a bit up in the air with the roster makeup for next year, is very bright.

I forgot about this until this morning...

... but this team didn't even get its own poster in the preseason. They did the Hilton 50th anniversary poster instead. And the season turned out to feature one of the best possessions in program history.

Thank you to both men’s and women’s teams for this season. Bitter night having to wait and see both teams lose and really not play that well. But both getting to the Sweet 16? Absolutely awesome.

Can we have last weekend’s feeling back though?

I thought we might go 1-1 but never thought we would go 0-2 tonight. Sad but proud.

This is a highly underrated point. The reason Duke and Carolina and Kentucky etc are always at the top of the ncaa, is because they have all the people before them that set expectations for how they do things.

Pop always talked about how when anyone new came in, whether is was Roger Mason or Lamarcus Aldridge first guy that talked to them was Tim. He told them right away how they were expected to conduct themselves.

What an awesome season! I was in Milwaukee for the LSU game and it was one of the best cyclone related experiences I’ve ever had. The future wife and I are getting season tickets next year for the first time. After All of the aftermarket tickets we bought it will save us some money.

I just remember the sentiment before the year was that if they could make the NIT, that would be a really good year. Crazy to see how much they exceeded the expectations. It wasn't always pretty, but the end result was a Sweet 16. Not a bad way to start the Otz era.

Disappointed in the performance last night but really pleased with the season and future. They've made Iowa State basketball relevant again after the Prohm debacle.
