Am I the only one who wouldn't mind seeing Texas winning this one? It would make getting that 3 seed much easier. I don't really think there is that much of a difference between the 2nd and 3rd seed but there is a huge difference between the 3rd and 4th seed.

I don't know about the rest of you. But I'm for OU. We do our share and we get the 2 seed. Why wouldn't you want that?

If we want a realistic chance at the 2 seed in the B12 tourney, we want UT to lose one of these games down the stretch.

Whoever wins this has the inside track for the 2 seed. Both have soft schedules the rest of the way. Bottom line ISU needs to take care of business, or we have a good shot a the 4.

It's a tough one to decide because if we go 3-0, we clearly want OU to win but if we only go 2-1, then we would want Texas to win as it would make it easier to get the 3 seed. As others have said though, we just need to take care of business on our own.

It's not that I don't want it. It's that I think getting at least the 3 seed is more important. I don't see much of a difference between the 2nd and 3rd seed.

There is no difference between the 2 and 3 seed other than the little number next to ISU's name in the bracket.

Not exactly. The 2 seed gets the winner of the 7/10 game that plays the day before. The 3 seed gets a rested 6 seed with normal preparation for their matchup.

And a 6 seed that could very well be playing to get off the bubble.

There's just not a big difference between OSU, Baylor, and West Virginia. They all have their strengths and weaknesses, and i'm not sure which team would be better for Iowa State.

I think WVU is probably the worst of the three at winning away from home. I know all of their big wins were after teams had to travel the long and winding road to Morgantown.

OSU and Baylor just have more talent overall than Huggies bunch.

But OSU has no depth and Travis Ford.

Baylor has Scott Drew.

Cheering for OU and hoping like hell ISU wins against KSU tonight.

Sole possession of 2nd place in conference is up for grabs.

That's seems like a big deal to me - assuming ISU can play well enough to hold on the last week.

I think that might also pull some AP votes our way, and more importantly, impact seeding considerations of the committee.

Ugh, would you rather spend the rest of the year saying we finished 2nd in the Big 12 season or 3rd?

Hopefully Iowa State plays quite a bit better than Texas is at the moment
