That may have changed having a 4 defend him rather than the 5. I would think that Solo would have the 5 on him.
Conditt was struggling against anyone that would body him up down there. It didn't matter if it was a 4 or a 5. Having Conditt and Solomon on the floor last year at the same time was not even close to being the reason why we weren't good. That would not have saved anything.

Yea, hes going to have to nail a transfer market like hes never done before. And before someone says "Shayok" that won't be close to enough for next year sadly.

I am taking Shayok if you offer me him and only him relative to whatever else the Prohm administration might come up with the next few months.

Not really this optimistic but let’s just say some things work out for us this year. Johnson and Blackwell both have some ball handling and play making ability so they can provide some of that to make up for their not being a “true” PG between Tre and Rasir.

I think this season was an eye opener for Tre when it came to the simple ball handling fundamentals it takes to play at this level and I think he’ll vastly improve there this offseason now that he understands the intensity of the defenses he is going against. Not necessarily improve all around like Naz did, but at least in ball handling. Tre shot 38% from 3 in B12 play and is a willing defender who will learn to foul less.

Then you just gotta find a couple dudes this spring season and we’ll be fine haha.

5. 5 players left the program this year. Doesn’t matter if they’re our worst 5 either, that many players leaving a program is indicative of a huge problem. And when half the players Prohm recruits aren’t good enough to play at this level anyway, then it’s really bad.
Okay then we should've kept all of those guys and just waltzed out the same exact team as last year then. Lol

Grill was going to get better but it likely was not going to happen over night. He would've received some minutes next year but if Prohm is truly going a few immediate guys, Grill might see a place like UNLV as a better fit for significant playing time. The only reason Grill played a lot minutes down the stretch of the season was because both Bolton and Halliburton got hurt. There was literally no one else. Even with that depleted roster after the injuries, Lewis and Griffin saw the floor sparingly, and yet everyone is freaking out about their departures.

Don't get me wrong I wasn't saying that Grill would be a starter next year but I could easily see him being one of the first guys off the bench to get 10-15 minutes if he continued to improve. To me Lewis and Griffin both have had plenty of opportunities to improve and get more PT but they never took those next steps forward to become consistent rotation players so yeah I don't see either as a huge loss like some here seem to think they are. I'd be more freaked out if someone like Conditt left who keeps improving and getting more PT and it going to get meaningful minutes 1 way or another next season most likely.

True, but honestly think that only gets you 14-15 wins with what we have so far for next year. If we totally whiff on the transfers all together like Prohm has done, we won't win 10 games.

Listen, those guys probably weren't going to see many minutes, if any next year. Grill maybe, the other two, garbage time. Unless Grill got exponentially better he would've most likely been the 9th guy in line for playing time.

When Grill left we were all surprised and some people were freaking out, but Lewis now transfers, a guy that this site has ripped on all year long (whether he deserved it or not), and all of a sudden all hell breaks loose. I honestly don't get it lol. This is a good thing for the time being. Obviously for the future we need guys to stay but I'm sorry, if you want to be good this year, we HAD to get rid of a few players.
Id be with you on this if I had any faith in Prohm to recruit guys who aren't Nixon and Jacobson tier transfers. Replacing bad with equally bad doesn't do anything.

Agreed. I wish Grill would've stayed because we honestly need guys like him to stay for the future, maybe not for next year. But, I'm not going to scream the sky is falling because we are possibly missing out on the next JJ Redick.

And if we don't win 10 games, he's fired. Lol

Will there be a JP email or tweet soon telling everyone to relax because CSP has everything under control?

Absolutely we'd all have more faith, but at this time faith and hope are running out for Prohm. This to me screams desperation and Prohm is looking at next year as a "make or break" year. I mean we all wanted that right?

You are implying that these players are leaving because they were told to leave, that is not the case. Even if Prohm wanted to “keep all of those guys” he couldn’t.

All I’m saying is I’ll be surprised if even 2 of the replacements are better than who they’re replacing. Prohm is not nearly the recruiter some folks make him out to be, and spring recruiting in particular has been abysmal under Prohm.

Solo’s mid range and nearly 80% FT shooting are signs he could develop a perimeter jumper. Hopefully it will come this year rather in some
European league sometime.

"perimeter jumper" = 3-point shot to me these days....is that what you were meaning? Don't think that's happening....

So what do we do with the 3-headed monster in Solo, Conditt, and Foster? You are going to have to play 2 of those guys together to get your best players on the floor.
