They are a bad team. We we should play well because of what happened last year. We should also win easily.
Not familiar with you as a poster...are you just pulling chains here or what? Guess I'm falling for it. But you're exaggerating and don't watch enough basketball if you think Tech is a bad team.
I'm not pulling chains. I watch more basketball than is probably healthy for a 33-year old single dude who rarely leaves his house. It's pretty much all I do. Tech is well coached but really has no business being in the game past halftime at Hilton. If this was @TTU I would give them the benefit of the doubt and say they could give us a competent challenge. Speaking of giving the benefit of the doubt, time to give our guys the benefit of the doubt. We are better team than last year and so are they. Our bench is lacking but that shouldn't be a problem with this team. We beat them by 40 in Hilton last year so I'm really giving them a 20-point swing. TTU hasn't played a top 50 team besides Utah, who they lost to. TTU had a similar record this time last year and then they got into conference play and moved to the cellar quick. I'll say they are better than the big XII cellar this year. They could claw up to 7th if they play really well as often as they can.
My prediction is this will be a 20 point win for ISU. I'll be upset only if we lose, though. A W is a W and this is college basketball.

Frankly, I don't think this is far-fetched at all. Home Conference opener=BIG WIN!
If we get on top of them right away, I think we'll win by 20. If not, it will probably be somewhat close. I'll guess ISU 88-79
Tech fan here not looking to troll just excited we are finally relevant. I'm not sure I can go along with the blow out talk that a few of you post. I know it can't always be the case because it is all about the match ups but we handled pine bluff by a much wider margin and beat Hawaii and Richmond by double digits who in turn both defeated northern Iowa. Btw I think Iowa state will win
The thing that separates TT from a higher place in the conference is really confidence at this point. That's the part that scares me. I'd rather catch you in February when you have the hope beaten out of you. Still thing we'll win, but it won't be easy unless we get on top of you early (as I said before).
WE WILL NOT LOSE ANOTHER GAME. We beat TT by 34 points. I should be more optimistic huh.
It will be closer and sloppier than any of us are comfortable with, but it will be a W.
