Switching sidelines next Year

Went to the Hokeye game this year. Seemed like there was no visitor's section. Just pockets of cardinal red scattered around the endzone.

I don't know if they still do it but Nebby used to put opposing fans in little pockets all around the stadium. Was told by a husker big wig that they did it to keep the opposing fans from being able to get a big cheer going. Don't know if that's true but not a bad reason if it is.

So I am guessing the new visitors section will become 26-27/S-T and ticket holders there will be offered a swap into the old visitors section (15-16/H-J).

Although I suppose it would be an opportunity to downgrade the visitor section seats now that the SEZ is finished. Maybe move it to, say, 25/Q-R instead.

Put the visitors in 24/P. EVERY away game I have been to, we've been more in the back of the endzone than the sideline. As someone who sits in T, I don't want to move, but also don't want to be right next to the visitors section. I may end up with a big decision to make.

About ****ing time. Been wanting this change for years. The student section will make little life hell for the opposing team. Throw their fans way up in a far flung corner. If we want to have a hostile environment, this is a small but significant step. Every little bit helps. No need to make the visitors feel comfortable.[/QUOTE]
Get the pink paint ready for the visitor lockerroom!!

All for this. Heard talk of it before the UNI game this year. Plus over history of ISU FB the west side has been very kind to the teams that have been on it. Hope that continues. :)

Put the visitors in sections R, Q, K & L. I sat in Q once and my neck hurt from turning it 30 degrees to my right for 3 hours. Pretty bad angle to watch a game for that long.

While I appreciate your sentiment of giving the visitor's the neck aches, those of us in Section P don't appreciate the thought of having them near us.

What if the key to ISU Football dominance has been right in front of us all along?! The best answer is always the simplest. I predict we go undefeated at home next year as a direct result of switching sidelines.

I believe space has to be made for the visiting team to bring a band. I also believe, then, that there has to be space near the field for the band to exit the stands in order to perform. I am fairly sure the visiting band will not be located near the people paying $750 per season tick to sit in the Sukup Club. Would not be surprised to see visitors moving to 25 and P/O.

Why P & O? There are no visitor seats in M & N (the mirror sections in the SW corner).

I don't know if it's been mentioned yet, but there's obviously something better about the west sideline. Teams over there have been winning so many more games than we have.

I know there were doubters before, but it can now be confirmed that our success this year can be 100% attributed to the sideline change.

Have fun looking into the sun tomorrow TCU
