Love how this whole thing has come about. The guys were basically told they'd have to fund it themselves. After doing a crowdfund to the fans and including amazing perks (like cameo in the movie ect.), they raised 4.5 million. Pretty awesome! Can't wait!
Been such a long time coming! I've been following it the past few years trying to figure it out once the campaign was such a success. I forgot why but it got held up in a legal process for a few dumb things, according to Jay on some podcasts I listen to.
Loved Super Troopers. Hopefully this bucks the trend of ****** sequals.
On another note, I'm positive there was another Super Troopers 2 trailer that came out about 2-3 years ago or so. What happened with that one?

From listening to their podcasts, they've admitted some of the humor is repeat due to the loyal following they've had over the years. Other stuff is new.
I like that it's been nearly 20 years so I'm treating this as it's own movie. Obviously we will all compare it to the first, but it'll be fun no matter how good/bad the movie is.
Appreciate them launching it on 4/20. Not so subtle hint on the frame of mind you should be in to see it.
Seeing that launch date reminded me that at the end of Beerfest they teased a sequel called Potfest.
Looks like there are a lot of callbacks to the first one. I'll probably watch it for the nostalgia factor but I'm keeping my expectations low.
The best thing about this movie is Brian Cox being back in the role of the captain. I mean, this guy is a classically trained, Shakespeare Company actor who's always been in serious roles in big movies. He does Super Troopers, goes and does a bunch of other serious movies, and then comes back to do Super Troopers 2? Epic.
I'm keeping expectations really low. Has there ever been a comedy sequel that was worth watching? I can't think of any off hand.
