FACT: as the head coach at Iowa State, Paul Rhoads has recorded a winning record in every season that follows a 24 game stretch where the program was 5-19.

Therefore, we're going to a bowl game next year. Bet the farm.

I thought this thread was going to be about Ronnie Bass.
 
The way I see it, CPR gets two years to get us to a bowl if he gets 5 wins (and the losses are all hard fought) this year. However if in 2016-2017 he only gets 4/5 wins it's probably time to move on. I'm happy with steady improvement and his job is safe if he can plateau at 8 wins a year.

Start naming the head coaches that have won 8 or more games in each of the last five years. I think you'll be surprised how short that list is.

I'll bet there are more coaches who have won 8 games than there are who have won 2 games? Guessing anyway...
