NBA: Summer 2018 Off Season Thread

That is what happened to me when they switches us from the smaller (girl's) ball in 8th grade to the larger (men's) ball in 9th grade. :(
I remember this awkward transition too, I could dunk a women's ball in 10th grade, but never could get up to a men's one. Hands were too small.

It's just summer league. Take it with a grain of salt; same as the CCL.

Usually that is the other way around. Don't get expectations too high during scrap ball, but he went like 1 for 11 from 3. I've been saying for awhile I don't think Young will be much or an NBA player.

I'm not a big Trae Young fan either, but I wouldn't take too much from one summer league game. I don't think his shooting performance yesterday served as a confirmation of anything other than that he had a bad game.

Doncic has the higher floor for sure. I can't see that trade as looking like anything but a win for the Mavericks going forward.

It was really bizarre to me that teams were seemingly talking themselves out of Donic near the draft. He seems to be the rare high floor/high ceiling guy to me. To me, he's really the most proven prospect in a long time. Winning the EuroLeague MVP at 19 is a lot more impressive than winning a Final Four MVP.

People are really convinced that Trae is Steph

We have a trade. Solid move for the 76er's

@wojespn Denver has traded Wilson Chandler and a draft consideration to the 76ers, league sources tell ESPN. Chandler will be absorbed into the Sixers space.

@BobbyMarks42 Trading Wilson Chandler to Philadelphia will save Denver $50M in combined salary and luxury tax. The Nuggets tax bill now drops from $51.3M to $14.3M. The $12.8M Chandler contract can be traded immediately without any restrictions because Philadelphia acquired him with room.

Jimmy seems like a jerk, he tried throwing everyone under the bus in Chicago and now this, if everywhere you go everyone else is the problem its you thats the problem.

I think what Atlanta did was take a shot at the next Steph Curry. It’s a chance at upside.

Yeah, except Steph was actually good i college. Trae has great peripheral stats, but he doesn't do anything that any other NBA player can't do. When you look back, you could see this steph coming.

Trae was pretty damn special in college for half a year. He was making 28’ threes off the dribble. That’s something.

I liken it to a circus act. He was doing it way too much. Steph does it when on fire usually, or with the clock winding down. Trae just casually does it, and usually misses. I'm just not a fan of his. Mainly the medias obsession with him that did it.
