NBA: Summer 2018 Off Season Thread

yeah hopefully Cavs tank hard quick because the SF at Duke right now looks like a generational type player they could bounce back with quick.

All this is true, but that roster was built by him.
True, but who would have wanted to play in Cleveland without him? At the end of the day, Cleveland needs him a whole lot more than he needs them. The NBA is a star driven league. This is how things work.

His son is "chosing" his high school team team this fall.

I think he really wants to do the father-son thing which would be nothing short of incredible.

Maybe that's back with the Cavs.

I view it as him having an over exaggerated sense of basketball iq.

Wonder if Isaiah Thomas will be on the Lakers roster on opening night? LOL

No kidding on Dwight on the Bucks if your a good player and can help put a team over the hump the eastern side is open wide open.

Yeah, that’s true. A one year deal can never really be a bad contract. It just seems strange to me considering they have Bridges and Jackson on the roster that play that position.

Also, I had forgotten that Ariza has already won a championship so may not be chasing one like some vets.

Phoenix ownership wants to not be terrible next year as their attendance has really fallen off the last few years. Both the Ariza and Bridges moves help them be better next year even if they aren't good long term moves.

Maybe he had to? Look what Gilbert does when he's not there........they average something like 24 wins .

Look at the team they built around him the first time. We'll give you guards who either can't shoot or are tiny and have to be hidden on defense. How about a late 30s immobile Shaq to clog up your driving lanes? Done.

There is a reason LeBron did a four year deal. If the one-and-done rule is gone and Bronny ends up being an elite talent whoever wins the draft lottery that year is going to get both of them. There will be tanking of epic proportions that year. 2022 I think??

Already about 99% convinced he'll play in the league.
