Just hoping that the students grab a friend or 2 and get to Hilton for these upcoming pre-conference games. If you have tickets use them and if you aren't using them get them to someone who will! It stinks when we have sellouts but then there are a couple hundred empty seats on that one end of the Hilton balcony.

There will be a ton of no shows tonight in the student and regular sections. It will just look worse in the student section because all the empty seats will be in one spot.

This. It always looks worse in the student section.

I can't blame someone for not going. I always went when I was in school, but definitely don't blame people for skipping them. That's what you get when the non-con games are so bad.

It is nearing the end of the semester and students have a lot to do. This will create a number of no-shows. It happens all the time, and it will be OK. Don't let this bug you too much. I made it to as many games as I could when I was a student, but it probably didn't help my grades a number of times...

It's Chicago State, it's not a very big draw for students who may have something else to do.

"Cm'n students, get to the game for Madamoseille Gipper. Get those tushes in those seats. Do it for Georges."

Agree with both of these. Students rarely have the regularity of a standard eight hour work day. It is getting close to finals and some classes end before Thanksgiving break. My son got someone to take his shift at work tonight for Chicago State, his roommate has a night class on Monday nights, sometimes students actually have projects, homework, and night exams.

I really think a lot of the complaints are from people that want less student section so they can buy the tickets at a low or no donor level. It isn't a good financial deal at all because the overselling of students seats plus the student fees to the AD are a lot of money.

People telling other people how to use their own tickets, such a hilarious lack of social awareness.

Never mind the fact that those seats would almost certainly become donor-level seats at a price point those people wouldn't like.

Last I knew we have plenty of seats still available for Chattanooga as a break game. Plenty of chances for the general public to buy those.

While I fully agree with this, with 35,000 students now, I would think there should be enough to fill the section every game. Tickets can be readily transferred but I do not expect it to be full nor do I condemn the students if it isn't.
