Stripe Hilton for Oregon State

Not everyone has a gold shirt lying around. Sure I could get one, but we also don’t have any for our kids. Now I’m looking at $80-$100 worth of attire to get ready for the game. I’m not really complaining just wanted to bring up a reason why it doesn’t just happen.

IF you would like to participate in the color plan and do it for less $ than you mentioned, you could find gold shirts at a thrift store. Probably even find some officially licensed Iowa State gold shirts at one of the thrift stores in Ames when you arrive in town. Just an idea. Take it or leave it.

The only way this works is if they schedule them before the season like we're doing with OU in February. I believe ToE color codes tix before football season as well.
IMO the only way this works is if the AD ponies up and drapes free T-shirts of the desired color over every seatback in the house...

...and even then I give it less than a 100% chance of success.

looks like it has been updated just to add to the confusion

Damn. I thought maybe UT asst coach had left his girlfriend behind for halftime entertainment. There will be SO many disappointed guys...
GOODBYE RED PANDA, HELLA POLE ASSASSIN!
Goodbye comfort monkey ... Hello O-State mascot!
She could add that Beaver to her act, and then she could change her stage name to the Aspen Assassin. Its got a ring to it! But, then again, would a comfort Beaver be considered NSFFV in these parts?

I think there’s a chance of it working. You could visibly see where the stripes were supposed to be for the football game against Kansas (although most people didn’t follow it), and that one wasn’t even promoted by the athletic department.

A decent job was done IMO but with the way lighting is at Hilton the only fans you are seeing (on the broadcast) are the folks in the expensive seats.

I’d say 2 out of 10.

The multiple shades of Cardinal/Red and Yellow/Gold was an embarrassing attempt.

If the AD wants to do this in the future they need to provide shirts and it needs a be a big game/max capacity.
There have been so many shade of cardinal in the nearly 40 years I've been a fan that this doesn't surprise me at all. I usually buy one or two shirts a year, and there are at least 20 shades in our closet.

That crowd was pretty pathetic. There are usually moments when it's almost automatic that Hilton will get on its feet. Stop/score/stop or steal/3P or 3 point play. I kept waiting for them to get loud and it stayed about the same. I understand people are in wait and see mode, but they were playing their butts off. We lost 22 games last season. Get off your ass and yell!

The people that were at the game participated pretty well. Looked mostly red due to the poor attendance.
I thought it turned out OK. About what I expected.
I actually thought it was a decent crowd. There was a concert next door at Stephen's that looked packed and something must have been going on in Greek community, lots of kids on sidewalks dressed up.
I don't know many schools in the Country that would come off a 2 win season and have a Friday night cold game turnout like that.

Stripe thing was a bust. I thought the turn out was pretty good. Late arriving crowd.

It was actually really well done for the people that came. Like you said it needs to be a game that is full but it turned out decent.
