Stevie is out at UCLA

First you have to realize he is never coaching st ISU again. Then you look where he could be successful, then you look at what he wants. We can be certain of the first two.

After all that, he wouldn’t bother ISU out at UCLA.

Personally, UCLA is my seconds fav college team (wife is Alumn), so we get to cheer on Fred! FTR we boycotted UCLA MBB under Steve.

So this would hinder his ability to buy out Prohm?

wonder how much the twins are tied to hinsdale central. fred made a big deal about not pulling his daughter out of high school.

that said, i bet fred could talk ucla into giving him a 5/6 yr $25-30m deal - they'd be desperate to do that.

and it'd be even funnier if fred just made his assistants do all the traveling for recruiting, and fred could just host official visits in jan/feb/mar and lock up his classes in advance with kids 25 miles from campus.

I'll take it, I've had my eyes on this primo crib in Pacific Palisades.

UCLA is my second least favorite college (MBB) team. So that would be a bitter pill for me. But would be happy for Fred if he landed at a blue blood like that.

People really love jerking it to Fred going to coach at some other school. My grandma says he’s enjoying this break and is already planning on coaching in the NBA next year, the college thing went out the window when he left ISU he’s not coming back to college and a big part of that is loyalty to ISU.

Even while a coach in college Fred watched NBA at night and would jot down plays and text with his assistants.
I just see him as an NBA guy right now, even though he’d be a great hire at UCLA.

I probably agree with that but NBA might not be available.

I agree with your grandma

He could sign a certain somebody that has visited UCLA recently that I think we lead for.

Since when is firing a coach during Christmas break the norm? Something missing from the story?

They've lost 4 in a row, they lost to Belmont and Liberty at home, Liberty beat them by 15. I can't believe we don't have any Lavaar Ball to UCLA hype. I'm sure he'll weigh in.

Failing at a Blue Blood program with unlimited resources and great recruiting base never looks good on your resume.

Stevie will be lucky to get a head coaching job at a respectable mid-major program. I'd bet he will end up an assistant at a high profile Power 5 school.
