I have an honest question -- does the replay official in the booth have the ability (both practically and per rules) to use the ESPN cameras, or only the "in-house" (predetermined) cameras as mentioned?
KU isn't tu though. They want to protect KU in bball, but they know the big money is in football. Plus, have to be able to hype next week's game vs. OU vs. have it sound like they should have lost this one.
If that's not indisputable video evidence, you might as well shut down the entire replay system.
If forward progress was the call, the whistle should have blown which it didn't and they weren't supposed to review it, since they couldn't say that, they have to say he was down, but he wasn't down...so don't say anything other than you reviewed the calls and have no public comment. Also don't say anything at all until you are ready to deal with Mike Davis, but since you aren't likely to deal with that, your conference becomes more of a joke. Sure we get a lot of money, more ham anywhere else, but that statement is an insult to Iowa state fans.
Thinking the Big 12 would actually do something is like asking the chief of police, who is paid by the mafia, to go arrest the head of the mafia.
