Starting QB

I think we beat Tech at home with JB. I really do. He owned them last year.
At least wd know he could not have done as bad as Jantz, easily his worst game.....

Except there's absolutely zero way to know how JB would have played because he wasn't out there. BTW. Tech is much improved. Not even close to the team we played last season.

And? How can you definitively prove that JB would have won our game against TTU? Oh that's right, it's not possible.

You can't...I simply said I really believe we win that game with JB under center. BTW...it's now 35-7 OSU over Tech. TTech looked pretty strong at home against KU last week though. :)

All I ask of Paul Rhoads is please, please, don't let there be a quarterback battle going into next fall.

I don't think it's necessarily CPR's fault, if you just pick someone and they suck, then you get what Iowa has right now. A crappy offense and qb with no idea what you have on the bench.

Not a CPR issue. You do not just stick with a player that is not getting the job done just because you want to avoid a "battle".

My hope is that if JB is ahead of the other QB's, they modify the offense to better fit him.

My hope is that either SR or GR come in and make the QB battle a non-issue quickly. Sorry, I've seen enough of both our current QBs to want more than they offer.

Watching OSU's 3rd string QB be more effective than anything we've seen this year is nearly depressing.

That's simple.....better coaching.

Couldn't agree more. OSU throwing their entire QB bench onto the field and winning games is awful to watch as a Cyclone fan. Gundy is a master QB coach. It is pretty obvious that we have no one like that on staff seeing as how Barnett and Jantz look the same or worse from last year.

I've seen enough of Jantz and Barnett.

JVB is a very good QB. New OC not helping him. Wait, that sounds familiar.

You ask and you shall receive!

I'm going to predict Steele gets the start and fumbles on the opening drive. He gets pulled and Sam Richardson comes in and never looks back.

Okay haters.....which i will say i am not the president of the Jantz Fanclub....but, he will have a very very good game...i guarantee it...whats the best fix for a crappy rythem offense....oh yeah its a crappy defense.....Well ISU will be playing a crappy defense and when we've played those, we've excelled....

KU is not playing well....i'm sick of hearing how great they've played over the past three weeks....

Texas had 5 turnovers to KU's zero and still won the game.....Ash did not have a good game but has since regained his confidence.....
Texas averaged 5.5 yds per rush.
Texas had a qb that was off and still threw for 172 yards...

Following week: Baylor which had just lost to ISU the week before.
Baylor averaged 6.55 yds per rush.
Baylor threw for 367 yards - Baylor had 688 yards of offense.

Last Week Texas Tech.
Ttech ran for only 82 yards.
But threw it 65 times and accounted for 510 yards.

The main difference between those two results both teams had over 500 yards of offense...but, Baylor was balanced which took the ball out of KU's rushing attack and wore that team down. I believe ISU will pattern their game much the same as baylor....run pass run pass - dink and dunk make them run and be physical and ISU will pull away in 2nd qtr and never look back.

One thing i've been impressed with since Rhoads has been here...he will stress the importance of their football lives this week...this team will be fired up and ready to dominate.....i think they do just that!!!!

Nice post....very well written. Jantz all the way I guess!
