The slow starts are now an identity of this team. We need to do something to try and change this. Buchanan hasn't been good in conference play, do we try small ball and put Jefferson at the 5? Maybe try starting Batemon over Toure for a little offense? This team will be an early exit in the tournament if this doesn't change.

Jefferson has struggled mightily the last couple games.

I think we need to see more of Jefferson at the 5

I’d bench Buchanan for sure, he’s about as effective as a wet fart. He can’t finish around the rim, he can’t rebound and he is totally lost of defense constantly. Put Jefferson at the 5 and let Heise or Batemon start.

I would hope Batemon over Heise to start. This team has zero offense and needs offensively guys like Batemon playing more minutes than Heise.

…and the tribe is turning on its warriors.
It’s hard to support players that look like they have no interest in playing. They talked about being bored with the Houston Christian and Long Beach States of the world and then got to big 12 play and continued to look uninterested. I mean I’d hope this is finally the wake up call and dropping from the top 10 so they don’t have that “pressure” of being hunted

Not sure on starting lineup, but bring Heise and Batemon in for Buchanan and Tamin at the 16 min mark instead of Heise and Pleta.

If we lose again next week to UCF or Okie State then they just don’t belong because they are mentally weak.

Unfortunately having Jefferson playing the 5 means Momcilovic has more responsibilities down low. His defense and rebounding is average at best. Also risking both of them getting in early foul trouble is a problem if they are having to bump people around and or rim protect.

I didn’t see the game,so maybe I am off. One problem could be guard foot speed. Lipsey and Heise are too slow. I would give Kelderman some minutes. Go with a 3g setup. If Pleta can shoot the 3, have him sub for Milan. JJ at the 5 , subbed by Buchanan. Starting guards are Bateman, Toure, Lipsey. Sub guards are Kelderman, Nelson, and Heise. Use 10 man rotation because players are burning out.
