Star Wars Tales of the Underworld is out today. Filoni does an awesome job with the animated shorts
Really enjoyed the Cad Bane episodes. Lots of old western movie vibes in that arc, which Filoni seems to always do well. Ventress was pretty meh, but is well served by the format of three bite-sized episodes so it's an easy watch.

Ventress spoiler:
light-saber fights in this animation style are just incredibly fun, especially with Inquisitors

So far, S2 of Andor is underwhelming. Good moments but few great episodes. Had high hopes because S1 was so great.

Really? They’ve setup the rebellion and presumably the final 3 episodes will setup the Death Star. The only thing that I find underwhelming is that this is mostly events that we knew about. So it isn’t as exciting as something fresh like season 1. But that’s to be expected being a prequel to Rogue One.

One thing that I’m wondering, is Luthen’s assistant Kleya actually Princess Leia? Otherwise, I’m not sure why she hasn’t made an appearance or been referenced at all. Or was this obvious from the start and I’m just catching on this season?

Oh man I’m half way through Episode 8. This is getting wild

Holy. F*cking. Sh!t.

That was flat out insane.

Viewers and fans who are complaining about the slow pace of Season 2 so far and thinking that "nothing" is really happening yet will be singing a different tune by the end of this episode.

I think that is the best episode from both seasons so far. I'm not ready for episode 9 yet.

Absolutely crazy episode. I had been checking sports scores early in the episode but got so locked in I missed my Royals and the Pacers comebacks. Wouldn't have moved until it was over had the wife not pestered me to take out the trash.

No, I think just unfortunate naming similarity. Leia, I think, becomes a senator soon, plus she's only 16 at this point. Was also surprised not even a token mention so far.

Yeah all 3 episodes tonight were excellent. Episode 8 and 9 especially intense.

I’m only to episode 7 so it sounds like things pick up. But not much has happened other than set up the massacre. Don’t know that really needs so many episodes. And don’t get what Saw’s part was all about. Hopefully it connects.

S1 was just so good and knowing this is all we’re going to get, I had high hopes. I mean, S2 is okay but no where near S1 for me. S2 is good TV for Star Wars. S1 was just dang good TV overall.

Dumb question here...but I saw that Marvel/Disney is releasing a "comic" book series that will tell the story of the years between the original triology and the sequel trilogy. Which sounds cool...but I have zero experience with "comics". Are these novels? Are they long? Are the stories told thru drawings or a combination of drawings and words? Again...just have never ventured into that territory before but would love to "know" what was going on in the Star Wars world in between those two time periods.

They'll probably do monthly books in the range of 20 pages (more with all the ads), then they typically do trade paperbacks which collect several issues in one bigger book. I prefer to wait for the trades as they have the ads removed and typically have a gallery of alternate covers and concept art.

I wonder if they will cover some of the Aftermath Trilogy of novels. I enjoyed most of those books as they featured Wedge Antilles as a prominent character. It's also the genesis of Cobb Vanth that most people enjoyed from The Mandalorian.

Marvel has had Star Wars comics for a long time, and it's a comic book just like you would see with other Marvel superheroes, except with Star Wars characters. One issue isn't all that long and doesnt take a long time to read, but there are a LOT of them out there if you really get into it.

I only got through Episode 7 last night, and even though it's slow I still think it's great. This season has a very different feel as opposed to last season, which I think a lot of people are bumping into. It's still incredibly well done and smarter than 90% of everything else on tv. I like how you see Yavin and Ghorman evolve over the course of the story. I really dig the WW2 French resistance vibe they've given Ghorman.

Yeah, Vader is a badass in the comics. The Vader series is great. I like the scene where he force lifts a bunch of storm troopers to use them as human shields and then throws them at his enemies.
