The directors list for The Mandalorian S2 was just released which includes Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Rick Famuyiwa, Carl Weathers, Peyton Reed, and Robert Rodriguez. Talk about another surplus of riches list of Directors. Sure, its a bummer not seeing both Deborah Chow and Taika Waititi on the list this time, but once you consider the other Star Wars projects they are doing instead of this, it is completely understandable (Obi-Wan for Chow, movie for Taika). Being replaced by Peyton Reed and Robert Rodriguez is hardly anything to sluff at either. The most interesting one is without a doubt Carl Weathers who is an actor in the series and hasn't directed much.

Whether true or not, these behind-the-scenes rumors of issues with Pedro Pascal have been going around. If true, it is definitely a bit concerning. Lets hope that even if they are that a good product for S2 comes of it and they work things out for S3.

Honestly they should just get somebody else to be in the suit and have him do voice over.

They do. There are one of two stunt guys in the suit almost all the time. The rumors are complete crap.

My interpretation of the article is that its not only the suit being uncomfortable, but he wants to show his face more often. It seems to be more of an ego thing than a comfort thing to me, so I kind of doubt he would go for that either.

Its not a secret. He is basically never in the suit. He is a busy guy. Why have him in a suit where you never see him? He doesn't want to be on set for that and Disney doesn't want to pay him to do it. This is basically a voice over gig for him.

There are these types of rumors for everything involving Star Wars, and while there are occasionally some slivers of truth to them most of them turn out to be totally false. The fact this rumor claims he is constantly on set in the suit speaks to the fact this person is completely full of it.

I could be wrong on my recollection from The Mandalorian documentary on Disney+ that I watched, but I recall them talking about how it is fairly split duties between Pascal and the stunt doubles under the suit. I thought I remember the stunt doubles do most the action sequences while Pascal does most the normal ones. I do remember them still being a little vague on the percentages each is under the suit.

What I have read was he was on set very little in season 1 because he basically wasn't available due to prior commitments. There is a quote from Gina Carano that she had Pedro take his helmet off when he was off camera to help her act in season 2, which suggests he was more involved on set in the 2nd season.

I still don't buy these rumors. What sense does it make that halfway through production he suddenly starts going all primadonna over something that was certainly discussed in pre-production and contract negotiations? And supposedly they just tell him to walk? No way. It would be disastrous for his career. When a legitimate News agency reports it that doesn't involve a youtube rumor monger that is notoriously full of crap Ill start to give it some credence.

A new lightsaber design for the High Republic series of books (and possibly films, Disney+ series, and/or video games). This will be wielded by Jedi Knight Stellan Gios. The design is inspired by Excalibur, as the series is set 100-years before The Phantom Menace.

Looks like Diego Luna is already in London for shooting the Rogue One Spinoff Disney+ series. This is great news as it means we'll likely get the series quicker than many anticipated. There is no doubt Disney is going full throttle with all their Disney+ content, particularly the Star Wars stuff.

For those unaware, they recently started to sell certain Galaxy's Edge items online on their shop.disney website:

These are the same items that were previously only available in the parks and it looks like it is an ever-changing bevy of items, most particularly which legacy lightsabers they are offering. For instance, I saw both Rey and Obi-Wan's lightsaber were offered a week ago, but are no longer on there. Looks like only the Temple Guard one is left. A few week's back, they had a poll on which lightsabers people want to pop up next on there. I personally own Rey's/formerly Luke's lightsaber that I bought a month back at the park, but have since ordered the blade, stand and the Jedi tunic online since they became available. While I only have the lightsaber hilt right now in my possession, I've got to admit that I'm quite impressed how authentic it is. Sure, they are some good change to buy, but I can't imagine them being any more life-like, outside of them opening up with access to a kyber-crystal, which is exclusive to the build-your-own ones have in the park. Otherwise, what they are selling legacy-wise is clearly the exact same thing offered in the parks. With the Rey one, the black burn marks where Rey re-forged the broken hilt back together is really pretty cool. I can't wait to see what else pops up on the website. Now that I've got the tunic, I'm really hoping they eventually offer the light-side adult belt to match. Currently, only the light-side kids one is available. Boy, my wife is going to really hate this website. For instance, she was ok with the lightsaber, stand, and blade, but is completely unaware there is soon to be arriving a surprise tunic in there :) .
