Spain Trip

Thomas really seems to be filling it up. Not sure if that is just him progressing, TJ back, Prohm, or what. But I love seeing it.

Surprisingly he might be better off in a different offense. Fred wanted him to play a Tryus type role and he wasn't that great with it. He can do some things off the dribble that he didn't show too often so maybe Prohm is using him differently

I have no idea if I was living in a hole or what, but anyone else notice Thomas is cut like Stallone in Rocky. I knew he had large biceps but My Lord. I was glancing at the Men's Basketball Twitter page, basically looking at where they are visiting in between games, and he's got a couple of shirtless pics on there. In the words of my wife: "Wow, there's not an ounce of fat on him, he's a machine!" I have no idea if that will help his 3's go down, but that boy has become very athletic looking over the last 2 years.
I wonder if he has been working out with Deonte Burton...

I'd be happy if I had just one of his abs. Dude is ripped.

Abdel an 'off night' or did foul trouble possibly limit point production?? ( not saying points is the most important stat however )

Hines tweeted that Cooke has been getting a lot of min at PG and Niang hasn't initiated the offense much, both of which are interesting. Though in regards to Cooke Noskowiak not there is a consideration.

My fear is that because of Prohm's affinity for point guards, that the offense will skew away from Georges this year. If that works, great, but I don't want our offense (or Georges) to suffer because Prohm is in love with PGs.

You suppose there isn't much thought of "Niang initiating offense" in summer practice games?

It is almost 4am in Spain and Jameel just tweeted this:

@ShowTime_McKay: Just up thinking ..... I will b a pro after this year and with hard work I'll b in the NBA

I do think mckay will be in the nba after this season

Man, I don't know. If he were 2" taller I'd say for sure he would be. The thing about the NBA is that you have to be tall enough for your position defensively. And if you're not, you better be off the charts talented offensively. And by tall enough, I mean PG minimum 6'2, SG minimum 6'4, SF minimum 6'7, PF minimum 6'10, C minimum 6'11. I'm not saying that is hard and fast, just my impression. If you're a 6'7 PF like Niang or Ejim, you are not going to make the league unless you can show SF skills and be able to guard an NBA SF. For McKay, he's never going to be able to pack on enough pounds to play the 5. And he's probably not tall enough to play the 5 anyway. He's plenty athletic and the NBA loves run/jump players, so that helps him. He needs to expand his range and be able to hit the baseline jumper and FT line jumper at the very least IMO.

Did he even take a jumpshot last year?
I'm sure he did but it wasn't many.
Tells me we're going to see something different team wise and with him.

You forgot to tell the current NBA Champs and Draymond Green that.

Georges must be initiating a lot of the plays in the games in Spain under Prohm because he had 6 assists in one of the game, but he certainly needs to cut down on his turnovers. He fouled out in at least two of the three games so probably was getting called for offensive fouls which might be called a lot differently with international rules.

Does anyone know what time the game is played today? Originally it was said the games in Barcelona were to be played on the 17th and 19th but the first game was played on the 16th so I figured their last game would be played sometime today.

I thought there were only 3 games? There are 4?

With a 7' plus wing span and his ability to run like a deer the NBA will find a spot for him.
