Yeah you're right, Bluford could never have been a McGee. I just find it interesting that Amardi was let go for Kane and not Bluford. Amardi was a better player than Bluford. Also, Kane comes in as a guard so it would make sense to drop Bluford since he was a guard. Just stinks that Bluford bailed on the team and that have Amardi on the bench would have been an asset at the end of the season, especially once Niang was out. Too many what if's.
My theory on that is that Fred knew the team really needed an experienced, play making guard. He knew that pulling a scholarship that late is a really tough thing to do, so he chose the kid who would have the best chance at landing at another good program. If Edozie or Buford gets cut at that time, there's a good chance they fall through the cracks and end up at some real low level school, if they get any offers at all.
