Solomon Young is a hidden gem

It's something in the water in Ames.

Side note:
They did a damn good job scrubbing that Hooray for Ames video off YouTube. I can't find a decent link anywhere.

Wonder how J Long is doing? I know it's super early in his Isu career but we haven't really heard much of him this summer in Cap league or otherwise..I'm a little surprised in that he's physically there already and was kinda known for being a real good defender..Just curious if anyone has heard anything on h ow he is doing..Guess he is 18 and has long ways to go.

Plus he has a lot of talent in front of him so it will be a lot harder to get noticed this year with MM, Naz and Thomas as SR's.

The thing I love about Young is that he not only is a good rebounder and defender but he can step out and knock down jump shots. I think him and Long are going to have very good careers at ISU.

And that's exactly what I mean. You are making it all about Young. I said "they". The listed heights may be spot-on or they may be exaggerated but using them as gospel just doesn't work.

As far as Young, who measured him? How do we know that wasn't exaggerated or fudged?

I'm not, nor have I, said he isn't 6'-7.5". He very well may be.

I think you assume things being fudged when really is about shoes vs no shoes, time of day measured (in the morning someone that height is between a half to 3/4 inches taller than in the evening), tilt of head and rounding. It's not like they are making up numbers their is just some variance in measuring. Each year for my physical I get measured at the doc and it has ranged from 5'11.5 -6'2. It usually is about 6'1 (taller than that in early morning appointments and shorter in late afternoon) but i have had a lot of different results in the 20 years since i turned 18 all without shoes.

Your doc must suck at measuring because I've been 6'2" for 18 years.

You guys still get measured at the doctor? They usually only have me step on the scale to confirm I've gotten fatter.
