I don't think this was a problem of them being classless. It really was just that we couldn't stop anything they ran. They can't help that we couldn't play.
Maybe they could have just taken a knee for each down............surely we could have stopped them then.
It didn't appear to me that they were trying to run up the score, but our defense insisted upon it.
What the heck happened to this defense? It sucks...it's horrible...it appears gutless.
I thought that defense was going to be the cornerstone of PR teams. It would appear we've made ZERO progress in his second year and may even be worse than last year.
What happened to hitting them when they come off the bus?
Did you see the first punt return? There were hits but no tackles. :biglaugh:
I'm sure I'll feel that way in the morning. Right now I'm just bitter that we lost as bad as we did at home. I just don't want to believe our defense is THAT bad.

What we have is the aftermath of irrational exuberance. I'm irritated that I didn't bet more against us to make up for all the other crappy bets! Thats another story, I'm cheap and a poor better.
We had no business playing with this team and it showed. Now I'm hopeful they can improve and I suppose any day we have a chance of looking like a decent team but with number 10? Not often and certainly not today. I'd like to keep people a little farther from the 70 mark though, lets hope the coach can keep the kids going the right way.

As I said in another thread, I think we have a team that has some real talent, but just enough weaknesses at key positions to be inconsistent. They play hard, and sometimes they are able to play over their heads. They'll fight for everything they can, and because of that, they'll get some wins.
The key weakness is probably the D line. They can't get pressure on their own, and they can't stop the run on their own either. I think the rest of the defense faces a lot more pressure because of it.
Utah just has amazing speed all over the field, and I think the motion and variability in their offense really left everyone on their heels. That's one of the reasons I've always liked to watch Utah play. It's got to be really hard to prepare for......it seemed as though our linebackers were hesitating before they filled the holes, and that was just enough to make their running game effective, and their passing game is just amazing, starting with a really good quarterback.

I love the way they play. I prefer to watch them destroy someone else, but they are very impressive.
I think we have a team that is slightly above average. A team that is thankful that almost 60 teams get to go to a bowl. I think we are a top 60 football team. Barely. Teams of that caliber occasionally get their ***** handed to them by teams that are in the top 10.

No, slightly above average teams do not get beat the way we got beat. Not even if they're playing the Colts.
We've played 2 good teams and the score could've been 300-20. Your occasionally is batting .1000 right now.
