So you see smiley faces painted just all over the place all the time? Are you thinking these guys just decided to paint a smiley face before they went for a swim?
How old are you? Growing up in the 90s and early 2000s there were smiley faces painted on bridges, trains, and old buildings. None of which were near water nor did anyone die there. My business is in an old building, and guess what is painted in the basement? Smiley faces.
Is there any evidence that smiley faces were freshly painted after these deaths? Is there any evidence that these people were drugged? What evidence is there that there was foul play?
One popped up on the drainage culvert shortly before the guy was found in lake laverne.

I would have to look around to be sure but I swear I read something way back where a detective talked about investigating it and thought there was something to it. I'm not going to say it's legit but there's enough to it that it can't just be dismissed as a ridiculous theory. My biggest hang up is that there would have to be multiple people in on it to cover all the area that people think it has happened and that's highly unlikely. It's rare for two crazy people to hook up and do crazy evil **** let alone god knows how many it would take to pull this off.
I think that is why they think its a gang doing it. The article that OP posted had that in it. A lot of it is around the upper US.

I agree. The dude they found in Lake Lavern supposedly tried to enter his place in towers. Then winds up all the way back at the Lake and falls in. Seems kind of odd to me.
Nah. I dont. I just avoid places and situations that are not safe. As in Mexico right now. Cartel killing a lot of tourist down there.
