Slow drivers, KEEP RIGHT!

Yep. That is a good law. I have to remember it when I go down there too, but I believe they have it posted on road signs every so often. If the state of Iowa is looking for a revenue stream, this would be my recommendation.

Minnesota could build a stadium to make Jerry Jones green with envy in one day.

One of the most annoying, disrespectful, stupid things I have seen lately, is on the slow circle onramps to highways people gunning it, cutting across and passing me as I merge on.

You litterally cannot go faster than 40 on these ramps, but people are hitting it and passing me, before I even have a chance to merge over. Really irritating. :realmad:

+1

Also:

1) TURN SIGNAL = IT'S LOCATED ON THE STEERING COLUMN.
People on I-80 floating 80mph between lanes.....f-ing morons. Use your signal. Also at 4-way stops--and some idiot decides to turn in your path without signaling--LIKE WE'RE SUPPOSED TO READ THEIR MIND

2) HEADLITES.

if it's DUSK...turn on your f-ing headlites. clueless people
if you drive a silver or grey car during a fog, thunderstorm--turn on your headlites. good lord
if you drive a white car during a blizard...turn on your headlites

They are used so you can be SEEN by others...not to drive. WE CAN'T SEE THE IDIOTS IN A FRICKING STORM if they don't have on their headlites.

--and that camping out in the left lane of the interstate for miles. Small-town pudunks, and Wisconsin people are the worst

Funny thing is I followed the highway patrolman after he pulled me over and was in the left lane for about 20 miles til we got to 35 (This was on 36 in Cameron). Love when cops pull you over for stupid **** like that and do the same exact thing they pulled you over for.

Wow, didn't know that. I almost always drive in the left lane. I always drive about 5-7mph over the speed limit and the left lane seems to be smoother on most highways.
The left lane is for passing. Period. If you think it's for cruising, the CNN article was written about you.

I believe there's a difference between cruising (I believe 5-7 mph over speed limit) and barely moving in the left lane though. Obviously if your going 5 over and someone is right up your *** you move, but other than that it shouldn't be a big deal.

First of all, not many people pass me on the interstate. Second of all, if they want to, I have no problem getting over before they even get close to me.

So true.

Problem is these lane blockers "think" they are helping by enforcing the posted speed limit. I.e. since their speedometer says 65 and limit is 65 that person behind me has no right to get by.
What idiot lane blocker doesn't realize is that their speedometer is NOT calibrated regularily unlike law enforcement vehicles. So even though they think they are doing 65 mine may read 60.

You must be one of the know it all LANE HOG drivers that think they own any lane you're driving in. Maybe you should upgrade your 1940's auto to a current one. I highly doubt your speedometer is off 5 miles an hour as most are electronic these days.

We see idiots like you getting pulled over on I 35 every time they put a crackdown for driving faster than 65 thru Ankeny. THE SPEED LIMIT IS FOR YOU TOO, NOT JUST OTHER DRIVERS.

You are probably one of the constant MORON whiners about redlight cameras too, I'll bet .

Funny story from my youth:

I was double parked along a rarely used side street talking to a friend for a second when a car came up the street, so I pulled up and over to let them by, and it was a cop. After he had passed, I backed up to where I had been to talk to them again.

So the cop goes around the block and after I pulled up and over again, he parked right where I had been with his lights on, and proceeded to write me a ticket because I was obstructing traffic. I pointed out that he was now parked in the street where I was. He didn't find this very funny:twitcy:

The left lane is not only for passing, when you get to the 35-80 interchange while driving South ON I-35, the LEFT LANE IS FOR CONTINUING ONTO I-235 INTO DES MOINES. READ THE SIGNS.

I think we found one.

I got pulled over in Missouri one time for driving more than 5 miles in the left lane when not a single soul was in both lanes.. The cop gave me a warning, but it's a law in Missouri. I'm a fast driver and used to being in the left lane when I drive up and down 35, so sometimes I forget.

Okay, here's the law, by state, on left lane usage.

Someone is kind of missing the point.

And you're still wrong. The 2nd from the left would be for 235. The far left would be for passing since there's double lanes going onto 235. The third lane goes to 80 east and the far right to 80 west.

It has become so bad that the moment i enter my car, i no longer think i'll be surronded by morons. I know it to be fact. So in these troubled times, i just close my eyes and floor it.

It's terrible in Texas. I see it all of the time.

Another thing I see all of the time is people driving 55 on a 70 mph two lane road. WTF.

You got me going now. Another thing that happens all of the time down here is when there is a middle turn lane, someone will turn from other side of the road and try to use that lane as a merging lane, expecting you in the left lane to yield to them.

Also, those people that love to drive 15 mph under the speed limit down here, love to pull out in front of you and proceed to drive slower than the speed of suck as well.

Oh, so that's why everyone in TX carries a gun...to fire a couple of warning shots over the bow. :jimlad:
