Well, if Ashton and Carter aren't capable of playing spot hustle minutes against unranked teams then we are in deep **** because the top 7 are going to wear down with their pace of play. Especially Monte if he's playing hurt.

Or, Prohm could just give him more rest during the game. Ashton and Carter really need to start getting more time. Spot time or something. The minutes our top six are logging is insane. Especially with the pace they play.

I don't know. I'm not that concerned about the loss to UNI. They were on fire, and played a really good game. Hats off to them.

I just get worried about the wear and tear over the long haul.

Absolutely should play extra guys , maybe 3 minutes around a media time out or something like that.. we need to be able to use them later in the year. If anyone else gets injured, it may tough to field a complete team otherwise. and, with using subs you can take some one out and discuss lack of defensive energy or whatever you need.

I'm pretty sure people are talking about the hard foul on his hip in the last game or one prior...I know Prohm held him out of practice for a day after it if I recall correctly, but I haven't heard it being a concerning injury since then...

Really? He missed a couple days of practice after the Iowa game after taking an elbow to his hip.

He was hurting before the Iowa game. they gave him a shot in the hip before that game. So yeah, he is hurt. Eric mentioned it in the post game too.

Iowa State has flaws. And they have the hard task of dealing with a new coach. Prohm has tried his best to be as easy going as Hoiberg was and we will all remember that easy going nature was fantastic, but it's not like his teams didn't lose to some ****** teams at times.
