I know this isn't going to happen and I'll probably be in the minority but I'd sit him the two weeks leading up to OU. He's obviously being hampered by that hip and other various bumps and bruises.

His health the final three months of the season is much more important than two games in December, even if one of them is at Cincy.

By the way, what the hell did we ever do to have so many players with bad hips? I've never seen anything like this where multiple players are being bothered by the same injury.

Why can't we put some other dudes in? Obviously less talented kids are hanging with us. Maybe we need someone competing for a spot and showing some heart out there.

It's not a bad idea. He's just looked like he has been hurting since Pine Bluff.

I don't think we can do it though since we basically have 7 players at this point.

I'm still mad about the FT's...we make 90% from the line as a team and we win this game.

Come on. You can't be this big of an *******. Monte is a week away from winning a ******* game for us. Anyone with eyesight can tell that he is obviously in a lot of pain.

Sometimes I wonder what you people ******* watch.

Seriously? We shot 70% which is good for this team. In addition, the hurting Monte is the one that missed at least 2 of those.

Monte played poorly today, but that doesn't bother me. But his FT shooting regression is a bit concerning. He shot 85% as a freshman. 75% as a sophomore. And 68% so far his junior year.

Monte has played with pain pretty much forever. He goes against guys that are bigger and stronger than him. But that has never stopped him from being a stud. He get physically abused, and is always banged up, yes. But he always seems to have played through that.

You can tell how much Monte was struggling just watching him attempt free throws. I mean, he missed three in a row right after taking that fall and barely got one of them to the rim.

WTF are you talking about. If Monte is hurt that only makes my point. We should be giving him more rest. Are our guys on the bench so bad that we would lose the game with 1 guy in hustling his butt off for 3 minutes?

He's obviously more banged up now. Again, watch the games. He came up hurtingin the Buffalo game. He made a comment about how much pain he was in after Iowa. And it was obvious that he didn't have much movement or hops against Pine Bluff. He looked the same way tonight.

He might play most of his games banged up a bit, but it has never been as obvious to the naked eye as it has been since he got hurt against Buffalo.

I'm not saying Monte's spot should be up for grabs at all. But if I was on the bench and had 3 minutes to prove that I deserve to at least continue getting 3 minutes then I would defense my butt off out there

Is a hurt Monte still a better option than our 1 other option off the bench? I think so.

And it is not like Hallice was't out there and he wasn't good on defense tonight. So your point is not at all valid.

The reality is that 4 different top 10 teams went down today. Losses or wins are team losses and it was clear that neuroscience of success came into play in this panther win!!! They came to play, had a plan and executed to perfection. I believe Monte and team will bounce back. Failure can be a good thing and needs to be our teacher, not our undertaker. Let’s not forget that “talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence win championships!â€￾
