"if they wanted to and the NCAA would allow it"

Thanks for the assist, 42.

I am well versed in what the NCAA allows in numbering for football and basketball uniforms.

The NCAA allows for 0 and 00 on BB jerseys by the way. The point was that ISU's uniforms have nothing to do with whether or not a Cyclone player can wear 00.

The invaluable experience of Biefeldt fit the role the upcoming team needed, however. But, yeah, obviously a freshmen in Carter will be more beneficial long term. Welcome aboard.

Next years team doesn't need more experience. We have 1st and 3rd team all conference players in the front court. We needed front court players for 16-17 which is exactly what we went out and got. Great job by the staff early on..kept the team together, hired some excellent assistants, held on to key assistants, and picked up some really nice late recruits. A+ by Prohm so far!

I don't debate that getting Carter was the best scenario. But was just responding to a poster comparing the two players man to man. I'm glad we got Carter instead, but a guy playing P5 conference ball with experience isn't too much experience. Wiith the Greek not coming back (probably), I don't see why an experienced wide body post wouldn't have also helped IN ADDITION TO the upstart Carter, but obviously GT 's indecision didn't allow us that window of time.

I don't think we should blame GT for anything. There was an open scholarship up to a just a week ago. Other then Bielfeldt, who didn't come to Ames due CFH leaving when there were 2 spots open, ISU really didn't have an real Post Grad options visit.

GT may very well come back and be better than a post who can play out there currently anyways. Or he stay in Greece and ISU goes after a mid season transfer.

Who's blaming GT? Just stating a fact.... that we couldn't offer both a freshmen AND an experienced transfer with that scenario not knowing if we had an opening.

I feel bad that I reacted to your earlier post with that 6-7-8-9 link. I realize my initial question about jersey-number options was silly. And still is.

When I watched the highlight reel and noticed his number was 00, I wondered if he'd be able to wear it as a Cyclone. Then I tried to remember prominent past players with 0/00, it's obviously a less-frequent choice, compared to other allowable numbers. (That could be purely coincidence).

Could we have a player with "00" and another player with "0"?

Just kidding...I don't care.

I'm giving you the answer only because you don't care.

2. The following numbers are legal: 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 00, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14,
15, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45,
50, 51, 52, 53, 54, and 55. Team rosters can include 0 or 00, but not
both.
