If you want actual sports talk on a sports ratio station, your only option is Miller and Condon. The other three shows are 90% crap, then 10% Hawkeye propaganda.
I'm pretty sure they are going out of their way to just troll Iowa State listeners at this point. Ross even had a little snicker when Travis made that comment.
When Iowa State beat K-State they put off talking about the game until after the SECOND commercial break. A top 15 matchup in Ames and they waited until 45 minutes into the show to cover it. They were just shooting the sh!t and talking about random stuff. I'm telling ya, they are doing it on purpose.
I was wondering what they did with him after The Sports Fanatics ended. I remember them having Whiskey Wednesdays and Thirsty Thursdays and thinking how can a sports talk show devote 40% of their weekly airtime to talking about alcohol and local bars. Then Chris left and Ross devoted 90% of the weekly airtime to talking about DM East HS.
Talking about NBA tournament and how the winning players get $500k.

Isn't he at the league max now as well? I doubt Halliburton is pulling much in endorsements, but that's a silly comment by Ross.

I did like his take on making fun of Reggie Miller trying desperately to create excitement by claiming the winner gets to go to Vegas!!
It’s pretty shocking how little sports media in Iowa know about sports outside of their own teams. Ross knows MLB and Hawks.

You know, he could have said Luka Garza and it would have been more accurate. Ross has admitted in the past he doesn't know NBA. Well, then he probably shouldn't throw out comments like that.

Jeez, it's an ignorant comment but pretty benign. Relax guys. He also had Bill Fennelly on today to talk about the game tonight and talked about how Bill is his favorite coach to talk to in the state. And no, the conversation was not all about Clark. Mostly about ISU and its players. Chill out.
Yeah sometimes we just have tunnel vision on only negative things said about ISU...we ignore the positives.
That's the thing though, it's not even really a "negative" about ISU. It's just shows he's ignorant on the subject and maybe is getting it mixed up a bit with the story of Purdy's salary. Some are acting like he took a personal shot at Tyrese.
