So depending on how things go on Saturday, if ISU manages to build a decent margin against OSU, do you let him rest another day to make sure he does not tweak the ankle further?

Or does he need some playing time since he has already missed a lot of games already

Lard needs to be engaged when ISU goes to Lawrence

Think he has gotta get some minutes..

I think you bring him in only if necessary. if Jacobson and conditt

if Jacobson and conditt are holding their own in the first 10minutes of the game and staying out of foul trouble you let him rest. Use him only if absolutely necessary. otherwise, let him rest until healthy. this is assuming he's even ready by OSU tip as he clearly wasn't ready to go last night.

You play him. He needs game reps.

Could be a crappy crowd considering the weather. OSU will be used to that.

The team (and fans) would like nothing better than to get last Saturday's bad taste out of their mouth and protect home court. Coming off a big road win then this crap forecast. Now that the students are back they need to show up 'bigtime' cuz this snow/wind will hurt the traveling crowd. Frustrating weather timing, grrr.

Good luck with the students showing up. They don't even fill 5 rows in the balcony when the weather is nice out. It'll be empty up top Saturday. As I've said before, time to start selling at least the top half of that section to the public, it's a joke.

Tend the agree with you. It seems like they don’t fill the balcony unless it’s what they consider a big game

Exactly. No "name brand" recognition of the Kansas game this year, it won't be close to full the rest of the year no matter how many games we end up winning. Just reality. Sell a couple hundred more season tickets to the public next year and make some money.

Last night's game helped a ton for attendance.

Part of it depends on the narrative and momentum of the team. Unfortunately, the schedule doesn't line up very well. We have a winnable home game against a bad opponent on Saturday, then two road games against top 25 teams. Then the next game is at home against WV. Even if we go 2-1 in the next three, the WV game won't have a ton of hype due to the opponent. Ranked Big 8 opponents are what put butts in seats at Hilton. I don't see a possibility for that until Oklahoma in late February. Texas and TCU games should be be decent draws depending on how we're playing.

The buzz around the program just isn't as strong as those Hoiberg teams. The style of play isn't as fun, and that group made a special connection with the fans. And obviously Hoiberg had his own draw.

When it comes to the Hilton atmosphere probably being down this year, it's a little bad luck in the order of the schedule as well as the Big 12 not being quite as strong. The great equalizer is winning, and if we can be in the thick of the conference race, the students will show up.

You play him if he’s good to go. Absolutely have to have him if we are to have any slight chance of winning in Lawrence. Think our chances are close to zero there if we just play him for the first time Monday.

Damn, then we will never have a sellout again.

If he is good to go, you have to get him some minutes. He has not played a lot, and sometimes not very well, but he is a guy that can change a game with his athletic ability. Hopefully they will not need him to beat OSU. Just needs to get some court time.

I disagree. I think we match up very well. Certainly still going to be the definite underdog, but I’d be surprised if KU is favored by much more than 3.

I'll believe it when I see it. The student attendance has gone down the toilet the last few years and it has had no correlation with how good we were playing.

Two lines of campers. First, the students. Second, the general admission folks. Let the students in 90 minutes before tipoff. Then, based on space available 30 minutes before tipoff, let in general admission folks. Need to get creative on grabbing revenue where we can.
