A purely unbiased and rational analysis would say we are a #5 seed in St. Louis or OKC. Therefore we will be a #6 seed in Spokane or Providence ... or maybe a #7 seed in Kabul or Pyongyang ... because Iowa State.

If Purdue guards as hitting threes..Purdue can win it all. Their bigs are arguably best set of bigs in country and they play defense. Now Purdue hitting threes is a big if..guess we will find out soon enough. I'm just worried about beating our first opponent.

Lol, Purdue isnt winning it all. Ive seen them play in person. Hammons and Swanigan are a good duo inside, Haas goes through stretches where hes so overmatched by quicker players that he gets benched alot. Their guard play is nowhere near national championship caliber.

I love when people say this...does the fact you have seen them live mean your opinion is greater than those of us who have watched them only on TV?

The only Big 10 team with a chance to win it all is Michigan State

Palm's latest:

ISU a #6 in St. Louis playing the winner of Syracsue/Monmouth play-in game. Paired with #3 Xavier & #13 SFA

I'm not a huge fan of playing a team that already has a game under their belt, but with this Iowa St team, a team with a quick turn around and travel, might struggle against us.

Not sure how I feel about facing Syracuse's zone, but it still comes down to making shots. If Iowa St can't make shots, it won't matter who they're playing, they'd be in trouble.

While I can see Oregon as something I'd want too as an Isu fan...Purdue on the other hand? Those 2 NBA bigs would be a nightmare for Isu. Nightmare. If either of Niang or McKay sits the who guards either of their bigs? 6'4 Burton? It's not that they are normal bigs who don't do much, they have serious game.

While true about the bigs, we could run run run like crazy against them.
