Royals

The Twins had a 10 game skid and then won about 10 of their last 11. Things in baseball can turn around in a second. Although for the Twins sake I hope KC continues to suck

I heard on the radio that if the Twins would have gone 5-5 through that 10 game streak, they would be first in the division. I haven't looked at the numbers to confirm that though.

How about them Royals?!!:twitcy: The pitching has been incredible. Hosmer is starting to hit a little bit, and they finally demoted Francouer to platoon status.

Perfect time for another 8 game losing streak.

I think the I Cubs would beat the Royals right now.

Things sure can change quickly in baseball huh? The Royals have me pumped up again, would be huge if we can keep this going - need to get at least 1 of the next two and take 3 of 4 in Tampa.

Pithing has been incredible... 13 games in a row allowing 3 runs or less, the longest streak in the majors since '91! Who would've believed we'd be getting that high of a level of pitching and defense? Hopefully these last two games are a sign of things to come for the offense.

According to ESPN the Royals average just under 21,500 fans per game. That's good for 25th in the league. Ouch!

By all accounts they have a nice stadium with ample parking. Too bad they can't pull it together

Well their market size is about 25th in the league or lower, plus the weather was crappy all spring. Those attendance numbers don't seem that surprising.

Royals making a turnaround. How about the Twins or Cubs lately?

Twins are a couple games behind the Royals (but have a 9-16 record against the division).

Cubs? They're looking ahead towards 2015.

And we are back at .500! Amazing how fast that was. Playing great ball in June - well the pitching has been outstanding at least, offense has scraped together enough runs to win.

Santana and Mendoza pitching the next two against the Indians - really need to win at least 1 to take 2 out of 3 for them, but I am really optimistic that we can sweep them, which would be huge.

Ned Yost manager of the year!

If he took all of the blame for their terrible May, shouldn't he get all of the credit for the great June? Many wanted him fired last month (I wasn't among those).

Why can't they score any runs for Shields. This is crazy. They have ended up winning but my lord.

Hozmer in the 2 hole has been a big shift for the Royals and for Hoz, he still isn't hitting for nearly enough power, but he is getting on base and hitting doubles occasionally. The platoon of Frenchy and Lough in RF has been, um...adequate, while 2B is still a blackhole (unless Elliot Johnson is playing against his former team) and our SS apparently has forgotten how to hit a baseball, but as everyone knows since Abner Doubleday, if you can pitch and keep it close you have a shot.
But as a Royals fan, this is about where Ervin Santana walks off the mound in the middle of the 2nd inning with "shoulder soreness"

Biggest improvement in the lineup has been Salvy coming back from bereavement leave and moving to the 3 hole.

I really hope we cut Frenchy instead of demoting Lough. Mainly because our OF is so much better defensively with Lough in there, he gets to so many balls Frenchy wouldn't even sniff. But I've got a bad feeling we will keep Frenchy because he bats right-handed.

Escobar has came around somewhat since he's been moved back to 9th, its much better if we can keep him at the end of the lineup.

I still think he's a bumbling ******* despite the recent hot streak.

I figure 9 wins in a row is cause enough to resurrect this thread. What a catch by Lo Cain yesterday. This winning thing is fun! Except it would be nice if we Detroit or Cleveland would actually lose a game so we can make up some ground.

I like our chances this weekend against the Mets, we dodged Harvey and Wheeler. Of course on the flipside we have the back of our rotation pitching too.
