Royals

The only problem with 9-0 streak is that Detroit and Cleveland are playing great ball and we are making up zero ground. Hopefully Detroit loses some and Cleveland remembers they are Cleveland.

I will be doing my part on the 14th of August. Im going to the Twins/Cleveland game. will be pulling for the Twins hard in that game.

Not true. Before the streak, the Royals were 10 out of the wild card with 6 teams in front of them. Now they are 4.5 out of the wild card with 4 teams in front of them.

They were 8 out of the division at that time, so they are 3.5 games closer to a playoff spot. And the postseason probability (on mlb.com) has increased from 0.5% to 2.8% or 5.6 times as high.

I still don't think that the Royals will go to the playoffs, but 9 games ago, they were NOT in the postseason race. Now they are.

Lets just hoe the Royals dont remember they are the Royals.

Wow, they got out of that tough situation. It's the first time I've ever felt the butterflies with the Royals in August. You gotta love Crow's slider.

11 of 12 now. Too bad we can't gain any ground on the Tigers or Indians because they never lose either. Big serious coming up against the Twins, chance to make up ground on someone (Tigers-Indians playing each other). Need at least 2 out of 3, but man wouldn't a sweep be great? Decent pitching matchups the first two games, in game 3 we faced Deduno who shut us down last time.

It's pretty crazy how the Royals went 11-1 in their last 12 games, yet their chances of making the playoffs actually went down. Thanks Dayton Moore :jimlad:

Need some huge crowds at the K this week. I wish I wasn't so busy with work.

I know the Tigers are in town the weekend of Sept 7 when ISU has a bye week.

At least we made up a ton of ground on the wildcard contenders, other than Cleveland. We passed New York last night. Just Baltimore, Texas, and Cleveland to go!

Not sure if I should root for Detroit or Cleveland in their series.

if we play David Lough from opening day on instead of Frenchy at all, based of WAR we would have three more wins, but it is fun to have meaningfull baseball in August. The Indians will come back to Earth all there outliers say so, and they are winning in walk off fashion and with dramatics quite a bit, where the Royals are just clubbing people from the first pitch. I hope the K gets full the next couple days.

I'm going to try to get down to the K this weekend as it's one of the last weekends I have free that they're home.

It'd be amazing if the team could fire on all cylinders, especially the hitters. Ever since Hosmer and Moustakas have started hitting, Butler, Gordon, and Salvy have taken a step back.

I think Detroit will end up running away with the Central.. If I had to choose, I would root for Detroit.. easier to catch Cleveland... I think....

Imagine if the royals would have played wil Myers from the start... Too soon?

The Royals keep on rolling, big 6 run inning to knock out Peavey and the red stockings.

Santana gave up the Royals runs, wasn't keeping the ball down, they should have pulled him earlier. Thank god they had a big inning with some clutch 2 out hits to bale him out.

Maxwell has been a pleasant pick up in the trade. Can't argue with batting near .500 and 3 homeruns. This city is starving for some playoff or near playoff baseball...
