It'd essentially be handing your rival eternal scoreboard unless by some freak happening it happened again in the future (which is extremely unlikely even before considering the two teams involved). No matchup afterward would ever stand up to the trump card of "well, we beat you for a national championship"

I'm pretty sure if ISU lost to Iowa in the Championship game it probably was because ISU had a terrible bus accident and TJ was down to Rise, Kelderman, Mulder and Mitchell so they had to play 5 on 4.

I don't hate Iowa because I grew up in a Hawkeye house, but I can't stand a majority of their fans. I definitely don't want them to win a championship, especially beating ISU in the championship game.
