Milan would be foolish to not declare and at least go through the process.
@Bigman38 why would you disagree with this statement? All Juniors who have a slight chance should declare for the draft. You get to go play in camps and get evaluated by pro agents and staff. Then they tell you where you might be drafted and how much you can make compared to coming back to college. It’s the only move he should make right now
What did I post that makes me a lunatic? Nice language too. Have a nice day and good luck with whatever you have going on.STFU. I'm am an ISU fan I'm just not a lunatic like you. I'm not an Iowa fan but i do like Ben McCollum because of some personal ties. So **** off.
What list did I say that makes me not an ISU fan? The one where I said I likes their coach because I have some ties to his background? The one where I give them credit on a hell of a finish and think he'll continue to do well? Yes frankly I think ISU king of **** the bed even without JeffersonWhat did I post that makes me a lunatic? Nice language too. Have a nice day and good luck with whatever you have going on.
he struggled the whole NCAA Tournament, 5/24. He has to be way more consistent before he can be trusted to be a starter. And that can absolutely happen. We saw him improve a lot defensively this year and that is huge. He was just a freshman so it is not a surprise he was inconsistent on offense. I love that he does not lack confidence. He has that killer in him for sure.Batemon was quiet against Tenn, first game remember him having trouble finding good shots but seems he has a lot of potential to be a scorer
Last couple of mocks I looked at had JJ projected as a mid-1st rounder, Milan projected as a mid-to-late 2nd rounder, and Tamin not listed. He 100% should be doing this, I’m far from an expert but I think he will get feedback that will steer him to coming back for a 4th season. If he decides to stay in the draft I hope he gets taken as high as possible, only good things for the program when you’re cranking out NBA talent year after year
Tamin will not play in the NBA for plethora of reasons.Last couple of mocks I looked at had JJ projected as a mid-1st rounder, Milan projected as a mid-to-late 2nd rounder, and Tamin not listed.
There is no way TJ & staff don't already have multiple backup plans if MM decides to forfeit his senior year of college.Iowa State better go through the portal window with the idea Milan won't be back. Any other way would be a huge mistake
They’ve known Milan would do this for months. You’re not gonna catch Otz with his pants down. They have plans either wayIowa State better go through the portal window with the idea Milan won't be back. Any other way would be a huge mistake
I’m thinking this too. Definitely want Milan back. But him, Jefferson, and Tamin (plus Heise) off the books has to free up a lot of cash. Could fill multiple holes this team had with those dollars.Hard to say. I hope Milan is back, but not sure it's what is best for his earning potential longterm. Part of me is curious to see what TJ could do with the funds Milan would be leaving behind too. Get some pieces that are a bit better natural fit for example. I'll be happy either way, I think, full confidence in TJ to respond well to whatever the outcome is.
My guess is both will be in the 9-12 ppg range. Batemon for sure. Toure seems like he has the potential to take a more meteoric jump up. I like the idea of getting an experienced ball handling guard from the portal that can start right away, then allow Batemon to be instant offense 6th man similar to how we used CuJo
I could definitely see Toure making that jump to 18-20 ppg and all-american type. His defense is stellar. Id like to see him be able to go to the rim more. I agree on getting more of a traditional PG and letting the others play more "off" ball
My guess is Milan is 90% sure he's coming back to college. He's just going through the NBA Draft process to get the feedback, build relationships and just maybe an NBA team with a late first or early second round pick might say "we guarantee to draft you if you come out".In this new era, I wonder how coaches budget rev share though. Meaning, they need to be hitting the portal....do they earmark money to not spend in the event Milan comes back?
Don't know what his plans are post college. If he wants to play, even if it's in Europe. But feel like he would make a great coach or even announcer. Can't be any worse than Young King McClure.Tamin will not play in the NBA for plethora of reasons.
Small
Not a good or consistent enough 3 point shooter
Injuries have piled up
None of that changes that he was an amazing collegiate player, and all timer to ever put on a Cyclone uniform
Can we get this piece of troll trach off the boards please? So tired of him dropping his negative stuff in every thread!!I'm the one that likes the new football coach. You're the one who can't get over Matt Campbell. I'm surprised you haven't filed a civil lawsuit against him for emotional damages
I blocked him a long time ago.Can we get this piece of troll trach off the boards please? So tired of him dropping his negative stuff in every thread!!
I saw a few with tamin late, he’s gonna get on a summer league team and I think he could be a 2way player. He 100% can go make a ton of money in Europe if NBA doesn’t work out.Last couple of mocks I looked at had JJ projected as a mid-1st rounder, Milan projected as a mid-to-late 2nd rounder, and Tamin not listed.
Toure could I think, he found his groove after the freshman slump. Batemon is capable too he showed some driving capability late in the seasonEither way they have to land a scorer in the transfer portal. As much as I like Toure and Bateman does anyone think they are ready in year 2 to both be 15ppg scorers?
